摘要： PURPOSE:To construct a tunnel easily and stably in ground under bad conditions by arranging internal columns almost plumb between the segments of both end sections in the horizontal direction in the roughly elliptic shield tunnel, and by reinforcing the segments in the plumb direction. CONSTITUTION:On the segments 1 of both the end sections in the horizontal direction of the segments 1 of the roughly elliptic shield tunnel of an almost horizontal long shaft, internal columns 2, 2 are arranged almost plumb. After that, at both the ends of the tunnel, on the segments of one-pieces, two-pieces, or three-pieces are integrally formed. Then, spaces 7 between the internal columns 2 and the segments 1 are used as a series of cavity sections in the tunnel axial-direction and as the facility spaces of footways, refuge ways, communication cables, fire-proof devices, ventilating devices, or the like. As a result, with the internal columns 2, the segments 1 of both the end sections in the horizontal direction are reinforced in the plumb direction, and strength and rigidity can be sufficiently increased to be needed.

Then, the earth and sand in front of the part of a skin plate 21 at top and bottom of adjacent parts of these cutter heads 9, 10, 11 is digged by small diametral cutter heads 25 at four spots. With this constitution, a section oval tunnel can be smoothly digged.

At this time, a slide type frame device is ascended in order, as concrete is being placed only up to a height where the assembly of ferro reinforcements is completed. As a result, different operations are simultaneously conducted at the upper and lower parts, and construction can be done with sureness and high precision.

Then the crushed stone drain pile P is automatically created with processing applied thereto with a processing device 100.
