摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and efficiently prevent a base isolator injected into a tail void from flowing away. SOLUTION: A tail void 20 is backfilled with a liquid base isolator 23, and a gelled sealant 27 is packed in a gap 15 around the outer periphery of a skin plate 13. Also, a base isolator injection pump 21, a sealant injection pump 25, and a working face 24 are provided with respective pressure sensors 28, 29, 30, whose outputs are connected to a controller 31. The controller 31, depending on those output values, controls the base isolator injection pump 21, the sealant injection pump 25, and a working face pressure adjustment device to apply appropriate pressure to the sealant 27 to seal time base isolator 23 inside the tail void 20. Meanwhile, the base isolator 23 is gelled to form a base isolation layer in the tail void 20.

摘要： PURPOSE: To rapidly damp vibration of a bridge beam when the bridge beam is vibrated by an earthquake or the like. CONSTITUTION: A spring 18 and a damper 19 are provided on the opposite ends of a weight 17, respectively, and these are fixed to a frame 20 to form a damping device 16. The damping device 16 is movably mounted to a base 13 through a spring 24. Further a lever 14 is pivotally mounted to the base 13 and a rod 25 projected from the device 16 is engaged with one end of the lever 14, and a rod 26 connected to a bridge beam supporting point 12 such as an abutment or pier is engaged with the other end of the lever 14. When the bridge beam vibrates due to an earthquake or the like, the weight 17 of the device 16 vibrates, thereby generating a force of inertia and a reaction force transmitted from the supporting point 12 through the lever 14 is added to the force of inertia so that amplified control forces act on the bridge beam.

Thereafter, an insulating material such as foamed polystyrene is attached on the inner surface of the remaining skin plate 8 thereby forming an insulation layer, a lining body is built by cast-in-place concrete at the inner side of the insulation layer and its front end portion is slightly projected out from the arrival vertical shaft 3, a rubber-shaped insulation layer is formed on the outer periphery of the projected portion and covered with the cast-in-place concrete for the insulation layer and formed in one united body.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effect for lowering the force of sectional area when an earthquake is generated by forming a washer for joint, which is to be provided between rings of a segment inside of a block as an object of base isolation, of an elastic body, and arranging a base isolation layer in the periphery of a cover body. SOLUTION: A shield tunnel 2 is constructed over a soft ground 1S and a hard ground 1H, and when an earthquake is generated, ground condition is suddenly changed in a boundary of stratum and large distortion of ground are concentrated to the boundary of stratum. But, at the time of transmitting the distortion of ground to the tunnel 2, the distortion is firstly absorbed for lowering by a base isolation layer 15 in the periphery of a cover body 3. Furthermore, the distortion transmitted to the cover body 3 is absorbed by the extension and contraction of an elastic washer 11. Consequently, each function of both the elastic washer 11 and base isolation layer 15 is effectively exhibited by using the elastic washer 11 and the base isolation layer 15 together. The force of sectional area at the time of earthquake to be applied to the tunnel is lowered by the multiplier work thereof. With this structure, a block as an object of base isolation is shortened, and the isolation to water-leak is prevented so as to maintain the function as a tunnel.

Also, a vibration isolation material is injected to a gap between the segment 16 of the shield tunnel 12 and the ground improving portion 13 thereby forming a base isolation layer.

SOLUTION: This base isolating device 20 is mounted on at least one of the upper and lower ends of a middle column 10 erected between the floor part and the ceiling part of a cylindrical underground structure to provide support between the floor part and the ceiling part, and comprises a middle-column-side member 21 and an underground-structure-side member overlapping each other. The middle-column-side member 21 and the underground-structure-side member have respective base parts 22 and contact parts formed into curved shapes that project in opposite directions from the base parts and can be fitted in each other on their surfaces of contact, and the members also have a rubber-elastic body interposed between the base parts on both sides along the direction in which the contact parts can slide. The rubber-elastic body is formed by vulcanization bonding process and may be in the form of an annulus surrounding the peripheries of the contact parts. The surfaces of contact may be provided with friction-reducing members.

In the second connecting member 11, a casing 13 arranged so as to hold a certain gap against the inner peripheral surface of the drum 4 via a bearing 12, is formed on the connecting side with the first connecting member 1, and a permanent magnet 14 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the casing 13. With this, a maintenance-free damper can be realized, and a large damping effect can be achieved with simple and small constitution.
