    • PURPOSE:To shorten the cycle time by temporarily assembling two parts on a pallet by use of movable spacers disposed therebetween, the releasing the spacers by use of a robot after the application of liquid by the robot, and thereafter by assembling both parts under pressure by use of an automatic assembly device. CONSTITUTION:A gear casing (GC) 4 and a ring gear (RG) 5 are set onto a set jig 30 on a pallet P, and a pair of right and left spacers 39 are disposed between the RG 5 and the flange part 4a of the GC 4. Then the RG 5 and the GC 4 are assembled temporarily together with the use of bolts 5, and a thread lock agent is applied to the outer peripheral surface of a bolt 5a and the facing surfaces of the RG 5 and GC 4, automatically by a robot. Then the spacers 39 are moved laterally by means of the robot so as to allow the RG 5 and GC 4 to abut against each other. Then, GC 4 and the RG 5 are pressed by a hydraulic cylinder, a pressing rod and a pressing punch so as to make both in close contact with each other, and thereafter they are assembled together with the use of the bolts 5. Thus, it is possible to eliminate the use of a gap forming device, thereby it is possible to shorten the cycle time.

    • PURPOSE:To realize connection between a mechanical system and a hydraulic system without misalignment between them by adjusting neutral position of the mechanical system displacing a rear wheel steering shaft with a displacement transmitting means temporarily assembled, thereafter adjusting and assembling the displacement transmitting means so as to absorb misalignment between neutral positions op the mechanical system and the hydraulic system. CONSTITUTION:When a rear wheel steering device is assembled, adjustment of neutral position of a mechanical system is first performed on the basis of a specified operating condition, with hydraulic pressure not applied. Then, with hydraulic pressure applied, the displacements of a rear wheel steering shaft 13 and a supporting support 38 are respectively measured, and the neutral position of the rear wheel steering shaft 13, at which the rear wheel steering shaft 13 is not displaced even when the supporting support 38 is displace, is detected. Thereafter, with the rear wheel steering shaft 13 located at neutral position, the supporting support 38 which is in a temporarily assembled, is assembled, and the engaging end part C of the cross-shaped lever 14A of a lever-assembly 14 or a displacement transmitting means, is rotatably and unmovably assembled. Thus, the mechanical system and the hydraulic system are connected to each other, and misalignment between the neutral position of the hydraulic system and the neutral position of the mechanical system are absorbed by adjusting the assembling state of the supporting support 38.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the easy exchange of taps with different leads by enabling the taps to absorb an advance speed difference between a drive unit and the taps via the rotational engagement means of the taps and a main spindle coupled to the main spindle for free slide in an axial direction via an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:The rotation axis part 66 of the first main spindle 56 is made to have a boss part 72 in a right and left direction with a large diameter at the right end part 70 thereof and six rows of grooves formed in the hollow part, and the right edge of the rotational axis part 66 is provided with a hole of the same diameter as the spindle diameter of a tap mounting jig part 68. The tap mounting jig part 68 is fixed to a chuck 74 for mounting a tap 62 and the left end part 78 of the axis 66 is formed to have a spline shaft 78 for engagement with the boss part 72, so that the rotational axis part 66 and the tap mounting jig part 68 are in rotational engagement and freely slidable with each other. A coil spring 80 is extended between the left edges of the spline shaft 78 and the boss part 72. And the spline shaft 78 is positioned approximately at the center of the boss part 72 in the natural length of the spring 80. When the spline shaft 78 slides in a left direction with the boss part 72, the tap 62 is subjected to a pressing force in a right direction. A force in a left direction works upon the tap 62 when the spline 78 slides in a right direction with the boss part 72. The same applies to the second main spindle 58.
