SOLUTION: In the case of transmitting a message in the broadcast system, a message storage section 33 at a receiver side stores a table on which a plurality of kinds of message patterns are described, and a transmitter side transmits the number to specify the message pattern in this table and a parameter than specifies part of character strings in the message pattern to the receiver side by means of an EMM. A message decoding section 32 at the receiver side inserts a parameter to the specified message pattern to decode the message. Thus, diversified message can be transmitted with a small data transmission quantity.

Comparing the STC outputted from a PLL003 or a value of the STC of a transmitted PCR with a value of the real time clock ticking out the standard time can generate a value equivalent to information set to the ITT in a virtual manner in the receiver. The receiver can realize reproduction of a scene with high precision by using the stimulatingly generated value in place of the ITT information.

Thus, the restrictions of program viewing is strengthened by providing the encryption key to encrypt the scramble key as the real time view encryption key and the storage view encryption key separately.

A receiver side terminal equipment 304 is provided with a scheduling means 319 that receives an electronic program guide EPG digest whose contents are tag information of each digest to plan a reception schedule of each digest, a storage means 309 that stores the received digests, a cache means 308 that stores temporarily every received digest without missing and stores again the selected digests among them, and a display means 313. The received digests are stored in the storage means without missing, and the viewer enjoys viewing the digest by displaying it on the display means at a preferred time.
