    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the blanking disturbance by switching the frequency characteristic of a video signal amplifying circuit so that its band in the horizontal scanning time is wider than that in the horizontal flyback time. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal blanking pulse applied to a blanking circuit 30 is divided by resistances 2 and 3 and passes a speed up capacitor 1 to switch a transistor TR 5. A capacitor 7 connected to the collector of the TR 6 performs the integral action together with a resistance 32 only in the horizontal flyback time of an R signal. While the TR 5 is turned on, the leading edge is made wider than the horizontal blanking time by the speed up capacitor 1 and the trailing edge is made wider than that by increasing the extent of base drive of the TR 5 to use the delay from switching-on to switching-off. Thus, higher harmonics generated in leading and trailing edge parts of blanking pulses are reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To image-pickup a picture desired to transmit such as a character or graphic information, etc., in a direction just as it is written, and to transmit it in the correct direction just as it is written to a cathode-ray tube of not only a transmitting side but a remote party side by switching electrically the scanning direction of a camera. CONSTITUTION:If the angle of the camera 1 is as shown by a full line in a figure, as being connected with it, a vertical switching relay 12 and a horizontal switching relay 13 are laid down by a switch driving means 14 so that the vertical and the horizontal scanning directions of the camera 1 are reversed. Accordingly, as for the pictures displayed on the cathode-ray tube 11 and the remote party side and displayed as well, 'I', 'RO', 'HA' (Japanese syllabary) which is written on scratch paper and of the correct direction reverse in all directions can be reproduced. Thus, by providing a means to switching the scanning direction of the camera in both a horizontal and a vertical directions in addition to a mechanism to change the camera angle, the character or the graphic information written on the scratch paper can be reproduced on the cathode-ray tubes of the transmitting side and the remote party side in the correct direction just as it is written on the scratch paper in addition to the picture information of mainly a sender in the past.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the use time of a camera and to prevent turning-off of a power source from being forgotten to extend the life of the camera by turning on/off the power source, which supplies power to the camera constituting a video telephone, in accordance with a hang-up switch of a receiver. CONSTITUTION:Power to be supplied to a camera 1 by which an image to be transmitted to the destination is obtained is supplied from a power supply circuit 9 through a power switching relay 6 and a signal processing circuit 8. The relay 6 is switched in accordance with the hang-up switch of a telephone set 7. That is, power is supplied to the camera 1 and the circuit 8 only when the receiver is hooked off. A power switch 5 is the main power switch of the telephone main body; and with respect to flow of a signal, the output signal of the camera 1 is A/D-converted by the circuit 8 and is quantized and is stored in a memory and is D/A-converted and is subjected to amplitude modulation and flows to a switching relay 10. A voice signal is connected to the relay 10 from the telephone set 7, and voice and image signals are transmitted to the destination through the relay 10 and a telephone line 11.

    • PURPOSE:To restore a microprocessor to normal operation by detecting the malfunction to cause the initializing operation by a reset synthesizing circuit if a vertical address is not changed three horizontal periods or more. CONSTITUTION:The waveform of a horizontal synchronizing pulse input terminal 1, the a/8 waveform of a frequency divider 29, and input waveforms of FFs 20, 21, and 22 are denoted as (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e) respectively. If the malfunction occurs in the fifth period of the waveform (a), the waveform (a) is in a low level in following periods, and waveforms (c), (d), and (e) go to the low level at the time of the seventh period. Therefore, an output (f) of an AND gate 27 goes to a high level through inverters 23-25 and an output (g) of an OR gate 28, namely, the output of a malfunction detecting circuit 32 goes to the high level. As the result, an output (h) of a NAND gate 30 goes to the low level in the tenth period of the waveform (a), and a supply voltage rise detecting signal terminal 11 is in the normal high level, and an output (i) of an AND gate 31, namely, an output (i) of a reset synthesizing circuit 33 is in the low level only in the tenth period of the waveform (a). Consequently, each circuit is initialized and is restored to the normal operation.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the effect of a ripple of a PWM signal and external noise by providing a capacitor integrating the PWM signal for vertical output drive to which the collector of a transistor (TR) is connected via a resistor. CONSTITUTION:In integrating the waveform of a pulse terminal 19 of a vertical output circuit using a pumpup circuit by a resistor 20 and a capacitor 21, the result is differentiated by a capacitor 22 and a resistor 23, a positive polarity output being the result of differentiation is fed to the base of an NPN TR 25 of common emitter and its collector is connected to a capacitor 8 integrating the PWM (pulse width modulation) signal to drive the vertical output via the resistor 26. The electric charge in the capacitor 8 during the vertical blanking period is drawn by not only the TR 10 connected to the terminal 9 and but also the TR 25 connected to the terminal 19. Thus, the capacitance of the capacitor 8 is selected sufficiently large and the disturbance of the vertical scanning due to ripple of the PWM signal or external noise is avoided.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an evil which generates in correcting a color transient by using mainly a pulse-shaped signal obtained from a red color difference components. CONSTITUTION:In a comparator 3, pulse-shaped wave shape in which the red color difference components are differenciated and full-wave rectified pulse-shaped wave is given to one input terminal, and slightly higher voltage than minimum electric potential of the pulse-shaped wave shape is given to the other input terminal as a reference voltage. When the electric potential of the pulse-shaped wave shape is higher than the reference voltage, the output of the comparator is low level and a switch 4 turns off. On the contrary, when the electric potential of the pulse-shaped wave shape is lower than the reference voltage, the output of the comparator is high level and a switch 4 turns on, and a pulse-shaped wave shape in which blue color difference components are differenciated and full-wave rectified is added. For this reason, color transient correction is executed mainly by the pulse which generates in a transient period of the red color difference component. Only in case the amplitude change of the red color difference components is small and an amplitude change of the blue color difference components is large, the color transient correction is executed by the pulse generating in a transient period of the color difference components in which the amplitude change is large.
