    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive system which can reduce an energy loss in a system by lightening the weight by reducing the volume of a motor drive system and to provide an electric automobile using the same.
      SOLUTION: The motor drive system includes a power unit 12 assembled with an AC motor 22 for driving, a fuel cell 14 for supplying power to the power unit 12 via an inverter 13, a gas supply unit 15 for supplying fuel to the fuel battery 14, and an electric double layered capacitor 16 for supplying power to the gas supply unit 15. The motor drive system also includes a means for compensating for a requirement with a power discharged from the electric double layered capacitor 16 when the power unit 12 needs the power exceeding the output of the fuel cell 14, and a means for compensating the power from the fuel cell 14 to the electric double layered capacitor 16 as needed when the fuel cell 14 is operated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable capacitor by solving the problem that an electrolyte for driving easily leaks from a pressure control valve, with respect to a capacitor to be used for an automobile etc. SOLUTION: The capacitor comprises a metal case housing a capacitor element together with the electrolyte for driving and having an internal bottom surface joined to one electrode, and a terminal plate 5 having an internal surface joined to the other electrode of the capacitor element and sealing an opening of the metal case. A pressure control value also used as a hole 5a for pouring the electrolyte for driving is provided on this terminal plate 5. This pressure control valve consists of a rubber-made elastic member 6 provided with an engaging portion 6a fitted to a hole 5a provided on the terminal plate 5 on the circumferential surface of the opening side, formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape and provided with a hole 6b on the circumferential surface of the bottom, a ring-like gas permeable sheet 7 so closely provided as to seal the hole 6b of this elastic member 6 and a ring-like rubber valve body 8 close to the external surface of the gas permeable sheet 7.
