    • PURPOSE:To dissolve the inequality of the electrostatic capacity of a composite film capacitor, to eliminate the gaps between non-deposited metal film parts, which do not contribute to the capacity, and to contrive a miniaturization of the composite film capacitor by a method wherein the capacitor side for detection is formed into a concentric cylinder-shaped conductor capacitor using a metal foil at the start-of-winding of the capacitor and metal foils, which are used as intermediate common terminals and from which lead wires are led out. CONSTITUTION:A plastic film 8 is made to position at the start-of-winding of a capacitor element and a metal foil 9 is arranged extending more than one turn of the element. Moreover, a plastic film is arranged extending more than one turn and a metal foil 10 is again arranged extending more than one turn to constitute a capacitor. Metallized films, which are respectively formed with a plurality of deposited metal films which are insulated from each other, are superposed and wound in such a way that electrodes of the metallized film on one side are superposed on the mutually adjacent two deposited metal films formed on the other metallized film and the electrodes and the two deposited metal films oppose to each other in the lengthwise direction of a dielectric film continued using the foil 10 as its first electrode and at the same time, a metal foil 11 is again arranged as the final electrode of the dielectric film and lead wires 12 are respectively led out from the metal foils.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor which can improve its breakdown voltage characteristics and reliability and can be made small in size. SOLUTION: This capacitor is made by overlapping and winding two dielectric films 11 and 12, having a plurality of electrode layers 13a to 13e and 14a to 14d insulated in the length direction and formed on their one sides, arranging the films so that the electrode layers of one film are opposed to the adjacent electrode layers of the other film to connect a plurality of capacitor elements in series, making an electrode area of odd-numbered capacitor elements formed by sandwiched by one film which are counted from one end to be larger than an electrode area of odd-numbered capacitor elements formed by sandwiching with the other film which is counted from its one end, making an electrode area of even-numbered capacitor elements to be smaller than the electrode area of odd-numbered ones, and setting the range of electrostatic capacities of the capacitor components connected in series equivalently in series to be ±5% of the average electrostatic capacity of all the capacitor components.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of discharge at the end surface of a capacitor by covering each base of one or more of the terminals drawn out from the capacitor inside at the end surface with an insulator. SOLUTION: In a wound plastic-film capacitor, each of metallized films 1 and 2 comprises a PET film, on a single side of which evaporated electrodes 3 or 4 are formed, insulated each other by a uniform spacing between each in the longitudinal direction, while in the width wise direction of the film, they are formed from the film ends to the inside direction leaving a uniform spacing on each end. Each of the evaporated electrodes 3 formed on the metallized film 1 is facing to two neighboring electrodes of the mutually insulated evaporated electrodes 4 formed on the metallized film 2 mutually insulated each other by a uniform spacing between each in the longitudinal direction. Lead wires 8 are drawn out from the evaporated electrodes 4 at both ends to mutually opposite directions, normal to the longitudinal direction of dielectric films 5, each of which comprises a PET film on a single side of which a thermoplastic resin 6 is coated. A PET pipe is inserted and fastened to each base of the lead wires 8.
