CONSTITUTION:A processing circuit for generating an edge emphasis signal from the luminance signal is divided into two routes, a front edge emphasis signal is generated at the first route and a back edge emphasis signal is generated at the second route. Both signals are added at an adder 6, a front/back edge emphasis signal is formed and the front/back edge emphasis signal and the luminance signal delayed at a delay circuit 9 are added and synthesized at the adder 10. The first route is constituted of a high-pass filter 2 for extracting the high-pass components of the luminance signal and the second route is constituted of the delay circuit 3 for delaying the luminance signal and the high-pass filter 4 for extracting the high-pass components of the output signal of the delay circuit.

A gain calculating part 28 calculates gain quantities of focus and tracking servo from the detected phase difference and an environmental change deciding part 29 decides presence of environmental change from the calculation result.     • PURPOSE:To select one proper amplifier from between two amplifiers whose frequency characteristics are different from each other, and to always obtain a proper frequency characteristic by switching a switcher according to the reproducing state of a signal. Thus, the device is equipped with two amplifiers 2 and 3 which amplify the modulated signal by the different frequency characteristic, a switcher 4 which selects and outputs one of the output signals of the amplifiers 2 and 3, and a side band detecting means I which individually detects the signal level of the upper side band and the signal level of the lower side band of the side band appearing in the modulated signal at the input side of the amplifiers 2 and 3 to compare them with each other, and controls the switching operation of the switcher according to the compared result.

    • PURPOSE:To select a feedback resistor and a filter circuit and to obtain a desired frequency characteristic and a DC potential by applying DC negative feedback to an amplifier with high gain to transfer the DC component accurately and applying frequency correction by the feedback resistor and the filter circuit. CONSTITUTION:1st and 2nd resistors 3, 5 are connected to the output of 1st and 2nd buffers 2, 4 connected in common to a single input. A frequency correction circuit is constituted by a resistor 7 connected to a 2nd input terminal and an output terminal of a differential amplifier 6 whose 1st input terminal is connected to the 1st resistor and whose 2nd input terminal is connected to the 2nd resistor 5, and a filter circuit 8 whose one terminal is connected to the 2nd input terminal of the differential amplifier 6 and whose other terminal is connected to ground in terms of AC. Since the filter circuit 8 giving a frequency to be corrected is selected freely, the desired frequency characteristic is obtained by selecting the filter circuit. Since the DC negative feedback is applied, the signal DC component is sent accurately to the next stage.

Thus, when there is no FG pulse generation circuit 404 or an FG pulse generation circuit 404 is out of order, constant angular velocity control is not carried out. The output signal of the amplifier 5 and the output signal of the second filter group are added an adder 8 after polarities are adapted and the level of the output signal of the adder 8 is adjusted with a gain controller 9. The video signal is delayed for a prescribed time at a delay device 10 and the output signal of the gain controller 9 and the output signal of the delay device 10 are added at the adder 11 after the polarities are adapted. Since the initial value of an emphasis signal outputted from the gain controller 9 starts from '0', the emphasis signals can be superimposed on the both front and back edges of the delayed video signal almost uniformly.
