    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the construction period and improve safety by forming the structure of a wall body of the portion where a shield machine passes with a concrete member or a thermosetting resin member made of a metal material or a metal reinforcing material excavatable by the machine. SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy is arranged at the portion of the aluminum bar arrangement section of succeeding elements located on both sides of a preceding element, and only reinforcing bars are arranged at the other portions. The aluminum alloy having nearly the same strength as that of reinforcing bars and less elongation then the reinforcing bars is used as a reinforcing material for the concrete structure of the aluminum bar arrangement section. This wall body can be easily excavated and broken by the excavating capability of a shield machine 7, and the manual excavating work and ground improving work are not required. The tunnel excavating cost is reduced, the construction period is shortened, and safety is improved.

    • PURPOSE: To reliably prevent leakage water from between steel shell segments adjacent in the longitudinal direction by firmly connecting the steel shell segments to each other. CONSTITUTION: A circular arc-shaped inclined face 3 of a gentle inclination whose diameter contracts backward from the front and a water stop material contact surface 4 of a steep inclination extending in the segment circumferential direction of the circular arc-shaped inclined face 3 of its gentle inclination, are arranged on an outside surface of a steel outside flange 2 projecting backward from an existing steel shell segment 1. A water expansive water stop material 10 where the web 9 side becomes thick is fixed to the circular arc-shaped inclined face 3 of a gentle inclination, and a water expansive water stop material where the web 11 side becomes thick is fixed to the circular arc-shaped inclined face 7 of a gentle inclination, and the respective steel shell segments 1 and 5 are fitted and fixed, and the water expansive water stop material 10 is compressed.
