摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of such a problem that a burrlike part of adhesive which is solidified in a joint part after being pushed out of the joint parts is dropped into an oil pan. SOLUTION: When members 2, 3 are joined, an excess of an adhesive applied to end parts of parts 2a, 3a to be joined, is pushed out of the end parts. Of this adhesive, an adhesive part 8 pushed out toward opposite ends of the parts 2a, 3a to be joined is retained in cut-outs 6, 7, thereby it is possible to prevent the adhesive 8 from being pushed out from the opposite ends of the parts 2a, 3a to be joined. Thus, the adhesive 8 which is solidified so as to have a burr-like shape, can be prevented from being dropped into an oil pan, thereby it is possible to prevent oil form being mingled therein with foreign matter.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a metallic grommet which wraps therein a metallic compression ring in the periphery of the cylinder bore of a cylinder head gasket, from shifting, by making one end face of the grommet in contact with the bore wall surface of a gasket body so that the grommet is secured by means of the spring action of the grommet itself. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head gasket is composed of a gasket body 2 having therein core metal wires 6, a grommet 5 with its top surface having a predetermined width on the top surface of the gasket body 2 so that it is made continuously in contact with the top surface of the gasket body 2 or its top surface formed therein with a plurality of concave and convex parts so that it is made discontinuously in contact therewith at a plurality of positions, and a compression ring 4 clamped in the grommet 5. The width of the bottom end face of the grommet 5 is made slightly larger than the bore wall surface 2a of the gasket body 2 so that upon press-fitting the grommet 5 is secured to its set position by the spring action of the grommet 5 itself.

摘要： PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the air-tightness of a cylinder head gasket, by wedging and therefore securing the top end face of a metallic grommet which wraps therein a metallic compression ring, in the periphery of the cylinder bore of the cylinder head gasket at such a position that it makes into contact with the top surface of a gasket body. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head gasket is composed of a grommet 5 having at its top end face four arcuate projections 5a, a compression ring 4 clamped in the grommet 5 and a gasket body 2 which receives therein the grommet 5 and has a core metal 6 made into surface-contact with the lower end face of the projections 5a. By setting the gasket body 2 onto dies 8 having a relief hole 8a for a punch 7 the grommet 5 which clamps a compression ring 4 therein is set in a predetermined opening section in the gasket body 2 with the center of the projection 5a aligning with the center of the relief hole 8a in the dies 8, and is shaped by the punch 7 so that the grommet 5 may be secured in a precise position so that uniform surface-pressure is effected in the outer periphery.

Therefore, parts in which the reinforcing members 5, 6 of the screen 2 are to be arranged are hold by the reinforcing members 5, 6 in the embedded state, and the inner reinforcing member 5 is so formed as not to project from the inner wall surface 3a, 4a.

Consequently, a bore deformation generated by the bolt fastening force around bore holes 4 is reduced, and the bore holes 4 are made in the form almost the same as a complete round.

Since the air layers are formed into a layered condition via the thin plates 6-8 and the holding member 9, conduction heat from a combustion chamber is hardly transfered to a pressure control valve or the like inside a device 4.

On the other hand, a projecting protrusion (bead) 9 is provided on the thin plate 5, the protrusion 9 is laminated on the thin plate 6 across the coating layers 8 into the sandwich shape, however, any grommet is not provided on fluid hole parts 1a, and the ends of the laminated thin plates 4 to 6 facing the fluid hole parts 1a are brought in direct-contact with fluid to flow through the fluid hole parts 1a.
