    • PURPOSE:To enable efficient obtaining of the subject monoester by reacting alkylglycosides of sugars selected from disaccharides, etc., and specific fatty acids with a neutral thermoduric immobilized hydrolase in an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:(A) Alkylglycosides of sugars having 1-6C alkyl groups as an aglycone on hemiacetal (anomeric) hydroxyl groups of the sugars are obtained by selection from 5-7C monosacharides, such as ribose as disaccharides composed of hexoses. (B) Fatty acids such as caproic acid (methyl caproate) are then obtained by selection from 6-22C (un)saturated fatty acids and esters of the aforementioned fatty acids with 1-3C lower alcohols. (C) A neutral thermoduric immobilized hydrolase is subsequently obtained by immobilizing a porcine pancreatic lipase, etc., on active carbon, etc. To 1mol ingredient (B), is added 0.05-50mol ingredient (A). The ingredient (C) is then added so as to afford 0.1-10000 pts.wt. amount of the ingredient (C), based on 100 pts.wt. ingredient (B). Reaction is subsequently carried out in a solvent, such as tertiary butanol without containing water, at 50-120 deg.C for about 24hr, to produce the objective alkylglycoside of the fatty acids.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a compound useful as an active ingredient of an excellent detergent in high yield, by reacting a saturated/unsaturated fatty acid ester which absorbed a specific amount of SO
      3 as a sulfonating agent, followed by neutralization.
      CONSTITUTION: A saturated/unsaturated fatty acid ester is reacted with a saturated fatty acid, as a sulfonating agent, which absorbed SO
      3 in an equimolar amount, preferably in a molar amount of 1.5W3.0 times that of said ester kept at ≥ the solidifying temperature and ≤150°C for 1W120min to obtain both a sulfonated product of saturated fatty acid and a sulfonated product of unsaturated fatty acid together. Then thus obtained sulfonated product is neutralized with an aqueous solution such as NaOH to obtain the aimed light-colored substance.

    • PURPOSE:To synthesize a saccharide mono-fatty acid ester in a short time in high synthetic attainment ratio by blending a specific fatty acid with a spe cific saccharide such as monosaccharide and carrying out enzymatic reaction using thermostable immobilized lipase in the presence of an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:6-22C saturated fatty acid such as caproic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid or an ester such as methyl caproate of the fatty acid and 1-3C lower alcohol such as methanol is blended with a saccharide selected from 5-7C monosaccharide such as arabinose not containing a substituent group, disaccharide comprising a hexose such as aldose and 4-6C sugaralcohol such as erythritol and enzymatic reaction is carried out using thermostable lipase derived from immobilized Candida antarctica in the presence of an organic solvent such as benzene. Then, after the reaction is over, a saccharide mono- ratty acid ester is separated and collected from the reaction product by a conven tional procedure. Consequently, the saccharide mono-fatty acid ester is separated and collected from the reaction product can be synthesized in high synthetic attainment ratio, in high content, industrially and advantageously.
