    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-branched polymer which has sufficient relaxation capability, has no dissociation of metal ions, is excellent in living body safety, has moderate water solubility and lipid solubility and has wide in-organ distribution and an uptake effect in organs, thus enabling imaging of wide-ranging target organ and disorders and enabling use as a new MRI contrast agent.SOLUTION: There is provided a highly-branched polymer obtained by polymerizing the monomer A having an alkylene oxide group and two or more radically-polymerizing double bonds in the same molecule, and the monomer B having a portion expressing a paramagnetic property and at least one radically-polymerizing double bond in the same molecule, in the presence of a polymerization initiator C of 5-200 mol% with respect to the monomer A. The MRI contrast agent containing the polymer is also provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vitamin B 12 -photosensitizer modified copolymer, a method of manufacturing the same and a dehalogenation catalyst. SOLUTION: This vitamin B 12 -photosensitizer modified copolymer is obtained by copolymerization of a vitamin B 12 compound in which a structural part having a polymerizable double bond is covalently bonded, a photosensitizer compound in which a structural part having a polymerizable double bond is covalently bonded, and a compound having a polymerizable double bond. This vitamin B 12 -photosensitizer modified copolymer contains a vitamin B 12 -photosensitizer modified straight chain copolymer and a vitamin B 12 -photosensitizer modified hyper-branched copolymer.
