    • PURPOSE:To have close contact of the seating faces of valve elements with the seat of valve chest of a slide valve for high-temp. gas line by furnishing wedge receptacles, which have rear surfaces aslant toward inside, projecting on both sides of a pair of valve elements and by providing a wedge member at the tip of an operational wedge swingingly in the horizontal direction, where the front face shall be a slope with the same grade as above-mentioned slant surface of the wedge receptacle. CONSTITUTION:The central rear surface of two wedge receptacles 111 furnished at the side circumferential edges of a pair of valve elements 8 is a slope 117 aslant inward. Wedge member 112 is installed at the tip of a rod 115 in the drive device by means of a pin 116 in such a way as rotatable in the horizontal direction, and its foremost part shall be a slope 118 with the same grade as the slope 117 of wedge receptacle 111. When the wedge member 112 advances, wedge effect generated with the wedge receptacle 111 with press the seating face 69 of the valve element against both surfaces of the seat provided in the valve chest, in which uniform and close contact of the seating faces 69 with the seat surfaces can be obtained even though the wedge member 112 is not situated in the accurate middle of the valve elements 8.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a slide valve with a simple structure and capable of allowing cooling water to flow smoothly by feeding cooling water in sequence to an inlet side cooling water path and an outlet side cooling water path separated across a valve body through one stream system. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water is fed from the primary inflow pipe 46, flows from the first inflow chamber 34 through a communicating hole 36 as shown by an arrow of a dotted line, circulates around the inner chamber 32 of a water path 14, flows to the first outflow chamber through a communicating hole 37, flows through the second inflow pipe 47 and the second inflow chamber of a water path 13, circulates around the inner chamber 32 through the communicating hole 36, and flows to the second outflow chamber through the communicating hole 37. Next, it flows through the third inflow pipe 48 and branch pipes 49, 50, is fed below outer peripheral chambers 19, 20 of the water paths 13, 14, and as shown by an arrow of a solid line, ascends through the outer peripheral chambers 19, 20 on one hand, and on the other hand flows through a lower communicating hole 38, enters an outer chamber 33 and ascends through an upper communicating hole 39, then both streams combine above the outer peripheral chambers 19, 20 and are discharged through discharge pipes 40, 41.

    • PURPOSE:To provide easy access to a valve body for inspection, repairment and replacement by detachably fixing the bottom part of a valve box to the shell part which is placed in the upper position of the bottom part. CONSTITUTION:When an opening valve body 9 is subjected to a serious damage or wear, with the cover closed, a bottom part 4 is removed from a shell part 2 to expose the valve body 9 and then inspection is performed under said conditions. If the valve body 9 is needed to move to a furthermore downward position for repairment or replacement, a closing stopper 108 and a limit switch 107 are removed and a valve body 7 is lowered by the actuation of both a driving device 82 or a manual driving device 91 to expose the joint part of a closing valve body 8 and the opening valve body 9. If necessary, the opening valve body 9 shall be removed by unscrewing a bolt-nut 75 with which the closing valve body 8 and the opening valve body 9 are joined with each other. In this way, the opening valve body 9 may be removed for repairment or replacement at this position and since the essential part of the closing valve body 8 is exposed, its inspection and repairment may be also performed.

With this arrangement part or the whole of the high temperature exhaust gas that is used for melting is made to pass through the waste A and the filling zone of the combustible matters in the lump shaped carbon family in order to suppress the solution loss, and the sensible heat of the exhaust gas can be utilized for drying and preheating the wastes and it is possible to suppress the heat carried by the exhaust gas.

Thus, when the diameter of the hearth 4 is increased in size, the sidewall of the hearth 4 is increased toward the upper side as an oblique wall as two lower stage tuyeres 6a, 6b are disposed.     • PURPOSE:To restrict a widening of a hot melt spout due to a continuation of hot melt metal feeding and prevent hot melt metal from being cooled by a method wherein a front surface of an opening is provided with a water-cooled jacket, a water dispersion port of an over-flow pipe installed at a top end is provided, and a lower part of an outer circumference is immersed in an open jacket. CONSTITUTION:A front surface of a hot melt feeding port 4 is provided with a flat plate 16 having an opening slightly larger than a refractory 13 at the hot melt spout and having a slit 15 at its lower part. An inverse U-shaped water passage 19 for passing cooling water from a water feeding port 25 is formed at a water cooling jacket 17 at the front surface of the hot melt spout 4. A top end of the water passage 19 is provided with the over-flow pipe 20 and is opened into the surrounding atmosphere. The overflowed water is dispersed from the extremity end of the branch pipe 21 at a middle position of the over-flow pipe 20 toward the hot melt spout outer cylinder 22. A lower part of the outer cylinder is immersed in the open jacket 23. With such an arrangement, a shape of the hot melt spout can be kept stable for a long period of time.
