    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring the number of somatic cells which highly reliably counts the number of somatic cells.
      SOLUTION: The device for measuring the number of somatic cells 1 is equipped with a flow channel 4 for allowing raw milk to flow. The flow channel 4 has a measuring part 41 for controlling the flow of the raw milk in the direction crossing a raw milk flowing direction at a right angle and is provided with a classification part for classifying the raw milk flowing through the flow channel 4 into a main flow containing relatively large particles and a sub-flow containing relatively small particles. The image of the main flow classified by the classification part is captured by an imaging means 31 in the measuring part 41. An image processing means 32 calculates the number of somatic cells in the raw milk from the image captured by the imaging means 31.
