    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica alumina catalyst for treating waste, capable of decomposing matter to be treated (waste) in a short time, as well as remarkably reducing the radioactive intensity of a radioactive material included in the matter to be treated, a method for treating the waste using the same and an apparatus for treating the waste.SOLUTION: A silica alumina catalyst brought to carry a Bacillus bacterium is provided by intermittently supplying a predetermined amino acid solely in a predetermined supply amount to a bacterial solution containing a Bacillus bacterium, which is a soil bacterium collected from soil, at a predetermined growth temperature, repeating the same operation for a predetermined period of time, and impregnating a porous silica alumina catalyst with the bacterial solution of the grown Bacillus bacterium. Herewith it becomes possible to drastically increase decomposing efficiency of the matter to be treated, and to reduce the radioactive intensity of the radioactive material. The same is held true for a method and apparatus for treating waste using it.
