As a result of this, foreign matter mixed in the irrigation water cannot pass the filter 22 and stays inside the filter 22, and only irrigation water from which foreign matter are removed can pass through the filter 22 and is led to the outflow part 18. Furthermore, even when an amount of foreign matter which is caught with the filter 22 gradually increases, and the outflow part 18 of the filter 22 is clogged up with the foreign matter, irrigation water which passes through a section which is not clogged up with the foreign matter in the filter 22 goes through a canal F and is led to the outflow part 18.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subirrigation system which utilizes the permeation function of the soil itself to cause no decrease in the permeation function due to clogging and thereby facilitate maintenance, and also controls the water level control of gravity water at the water-supply side to be free from supply of unnecessary water, and thereby enables the efficient use of water resource. SOLUTION: The subirrigation system 10 includes a water-barrier member 16 to keep the water content of the soil of a cultivation land 200 in a suitable state for the growth of plants. The water-barrier member 16 is formed into a top-open container shape and given a water reserving function. The inside of the water-barrier member 16 is supplied with water from a water tank 12 via a water supply pipe 14, so as to form a soil portion 26 into a gravity water state. The water level 28 of the gravity water in the water-barrier member 16 is properly administered to be a desired one with a water level administrator 18 disposed in the water supply pipe 14. The gravity water inside the water-barrier member 16 which is administered to have the desired water level, is optionally sucked up into the soil at the upper layer by the capillary phenomenon.       SOLUTION: A piping unit 50 includes piping parts 52 and an inclusion member 60 including the piping parts 52. The piping part 52 is formed into a curved pipe shape, and its end 52a is open toward an upward perpendicular direction. The other end 52b of the piping part 52 is exposed outward from the side of the inclusion member 60, and is open in a horizontal direction to function as a connection part 64 to be connected to a buried piping 12 for underground irrigation. According to such piping unit 50, the one end 52a of the piping part 52 is opened in an inner space 28 of an underground irrigation measuring box 14, and the buried piping 12 and the measuring box 14 are easily connected to each other by only connecting the other end 52b to the buried piping 12. Inclusion of the piping part 52 in the inclusion member 60 results in no need for doing filling operation for filling soil between the pipes in the buried piping 12, and compaction operation for compacting the filled soil.
