    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for a gas pipe, which joint can easily confirm whether or not a packing is mounted on one end surface of a joint body.
      SOLUTION: The joint is configured such that a straight portion 1b having a specified outside diameter is formed on the outside peripheral surface of the lower end portion of the joint body 1. A snap ring 3 is arranged on the outside peripheral surface of the straight portion 1b. An annular projection 2b is formed on the inside peripheral surface of the upper end portion of a connecting nut 2 so as to rotatably and movably fit on the straight portion 1b located above the snap ring 3. A female thread portion 2c is formed on the inside peripheral surface of the lower end portion of the connecting nut 2. A recess 1h is formed on the upper side of the straight portion 1b of the joint body 1. In the joint, the inside diameter of the annular projection 2b is set to be larger than the outside diameter of the recess 1h and the inside diameter of the female thread portion 2c is set to be larger than the outside diameter of the snap ring 3 such that the connecting nut 2 may tilt until the outside peripheral surface of a packing 4 mounted on the lower end surface of the joint body 1 is exposed to the outside in the radial direction from one side portion of the connecting nut 2.
