    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep down expense for connecting gas pipes at a low cost as to a sealing structure for gas pipes with a seal member, used for sealing spaces between fit parts of the turnably together fitted gas pipes.
      SOLUTION: The seal member 6 made of metal is provided between a stepped surface 12 of the gas pipe 1 and a right-end surface 23 of a joint 2. Both end surfaces of the seal member 6 are planes orthogonal to a turning-motion axis line L, when the seal member 6 is in a natural state in which no external force acts thereon. An annular projection part 14 is formed in an inner circumferential part of the stepped surface 12, while an annular projection part 24 is formed in an outer circumferential part of the end surface 23. Both the end surfaces of the seal member 6 are caused to make pressing contact with the projection parts 14 and 24, respectively, with the seal member 6 being elastically deformed in the direction of the axis line L.

SOLUTION: A valve seat 21c is formed on the inner peripheral surface of a lower end part of a gas passage 21. A ball valve 4 inserted from the upper end opening part of the gas passage 21 is accommodated in the storing recessed part 25. A holding member 5 formed of a cylinder is fitted to the fitting hole part 21b. Thus, the ball valve 4 is stored in the storing recessed part 25 to be disabled from escaping.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for a gas pipe, which joint can easily confirm whether or not a packing is mounted on one end surface of a joint body.
      SOLUTION: The joint is configured such that a straight portion 1b having a specified outside diameter is formed on the outside peripheral surface of the lower end portion of the joint body 1. A snap ring 3 is arranged on the outside peripheral surface of the straight portion 1b. An annular projection 2b is formed on the inside peripheral surface of the upper end portion of a connecting nut 2 so as to rotatably and movably fit on the straight portion 1b located above the snap ring 3. A female thread portion 2c is formed on the inside peripheral surface of the lower end portion of the connecting nut 2. A recess 1h is formed on the upper side of the straight portion 1b of the joint body 1. In the joint, the inside diameter of the annular projection 2b is set to be larger than the outside diameter of the recess 1h and the inside diameter of the female thread portion 2c is set to be larger than the outside diameter of the snap ring 3 such that the connecting nut 2 may tilt until the outside peripheral surface of a packing 4 mounted on the lower end surface of the joint body 1 is exposed to the outside in the radial direction from one side portion of the connecting nut 2.
