    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately form a center hole at an adequate position of a crankshaft blank. SOLUTION: A center hole processing device forms center holes for processing at both end faces of a blank crankshaft 1 and has a main clamper 15, a centripetal chuck 16, and a cutting tool 17. The main clamper 15 holds the blank crankshaft 1 and fixes it. The centripetal chuck 16 is chuckable for both ends of the blank crankshaft 1 in a state of being held at the main clamper 15 and maintained in an attitude of being held at the main clamper 15 for shape measuring of the blank crankshaft 1.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically inspect the presence or absence of minute flaws on the outer surface of a journal part or a pin part of a crankshaft.
      SOLUTION: While rotating the crankshaft 16 about a rotary shaft 16C in the X-axis direction, a measurement probe 56, which is retractable in the Y-axis direction, is brought into contact with an inspection site 16A on the journal part or the pin part to measure the surface position of the inspection site 16A for every rotation angle in one rotation and to acquire the waveform data of the surface position for a rotation angle. The measurement probe 56 has an oscillating function and adequate Z-axis length, so that it is constantly in contact with the inspection site 16A during rotation. By removing low-frequency waveform components which are equal to or less than a predetermined frequency from the waveform data to extract only high-frequency waveform components. The presence or absence of flaws at the inspection site is decided from the inclination, amplification, or the like of the high-frequency waveform components.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and properly determine a position of a center hole of a crankshaft. SOLUTION: A center hole determination method determines the center hole of a material crankshaft formed by molding with a cope and a drag, and includes first to fourth steps. In the first step, shape data of each part molded with the cope and drag is obtained. In the second step, measurement data of each part is compared with the corresponding design data to calculate a mismatch amount caused by mismatch of each part. In the third step, based on the mismatch amount, the data corresponding to the mismatch amount is interpolated to reproduce actual shape data.
