    • PURPOSE:To prevent waviness on the tooth face of a material to be rolled and the error in the tooth trance thereof by forming minor teeth between the leading teeth in each leading tooth group, and making the addendum of the minor teeth gradually lower from the beginning end side of the leading tooth group toward a finishing tooth group side. CONSTITUTION:Leading teeth 15 and minor teeth 16 in a leading tooth group 12 bite into a material 2 to be rolled in the beginning of rolling. Load fluctuates hardly and therefore waviness is not particularly generated during the time when rolling is accomplished by the group 12. The material 2 is further worked by a finishing tooth group 13 meshed therewith and the teeth already formed on the material 2 has roughly a specified shape.     • PURPOSE:To obtain a rolled product having good finish accuracy by setting the contact start end of a round die having a narrow set tooth width with a material to be rolled on the side inner than that of the other round die in the axial line direction of the material. CONSTITUTION:The tooth width L with one round die 10 is wider than the tooth width W of a material 3 to be rolled and therefore the die starts to mesh with a material to be rolled from the end thereof in the axial line direction of said material. The other round die 11 and the material 3 to be rolled start meshing with each other on the side inner than the end thereof in the axial line direction of the material 3. The waviness arising from the fluctuation in the number of the meshing teeth and the meshing point resulted from meshing of the other round die 11 with the material 3 is the waviness deviated by 1/2 in phase. The crest parts in the waviness generated in the tooth trance direction on the tooth surface of the material 3 are therefore successively crushed, by which the error of the tooth trance on the tooth surface is corrected and the accuracy is improved.

The crest and troughes of each waviness by the dies 10, 20 are thus reversed from each other, by which the crest parts of the waviness are gradually crushed and the errors in the tooth trance of the tooth face are corrected. The accuracy is thereby improved.
