    • PURPOSE:To obtain a tundish gate without the aggravation of working environment owing to the generation of gas by applying oscillation to a cartable refractory material consisting of a calcareous refractory material added with a powdery resin and anhydrous inorg. binder thereby packing the material into a flask and curing the material. CONSTITUTION:The calcareous castable refractory material is prepd. by adding 2-8pts.wt. powdery thermosetting resin and 0.5-10pts. >=1 kinds of anhydrous inorg. binders to 100pts. calcareous refractory material contg. >=10wt% CaO, CaCO3. The refractory material is charged into the metallic frame and is packed therein under the oscillation applied thereto. The frame is then put into a holding chamber, etc. and is heated to cure; thereafter the flask is removed and the desired tundish gate is obtd. The amt. of the org. resin to be used is decreased, the generation of smoke and malodor is decreased and the good working environment is maintained with the above-mentioned method. The formation of a large-sized block on site is easy.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a titled calcareous coating material which prevents the aggravation of environment owing to the generation of gas by oscillating a castable refractory material consisting of basic aggregate added with a powdery resin and anhydrous inorg. metallic salt, packing the material into the spacing between lining refractories and inside frame and curing said material. CONSTITUTION:The calcareous castable refractory material is prepd. by adding 2-8pts.wt. powdery thermosetting resin and 0.5-10pts. >=1 kinds of anhydrous inorg. metallic salts to 100pts. basic aggregate contg. lime clinker. Such refractory material is charged into the spacing between the lining refractories and inside frame and is packed therein under the oscillation applied thereto. The material is then heated and cured from the inside of the inside frame by the hot air from a burner, etc. and thereafter the inside frame is removed and the calcareous coating layer is thus formed on the surface of the lining refractories. The coating material obviates the aggravation of the working environment owing to the generation of gas and permits mechanical coating. The calcareous coating layer having the high effect of cleaning steel is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a stage for partial pouring by a small sized ladle and transporting the same and to prevent the drop of the molten metal temp. before pouring by constituting refining casting vessels imposed to plural vessel imposing frames provided to the peripheral part of a swiveling turret near a continuous casting mold in such a manner that said vessels can be turned downward. CONSTITUTION:The swiveling turret 1 is disposed near the continuous casting mold 3 and the refining casting vessels 6 which can be turned downward are imposed on the plural frames 4 provided to the peripheral part thereof. The molten metal 11 received from a large-size ladle 12 is added 9 with an alloy in the process of intermittent swiveling of the turret 1 and is subjected to gas stirring 10, slag removal 13 and stagnation; thereafter the molten metal is turned downward in the pouring position and is poured from a nozzle 7 into the casting mold 3. Since the stage for transporting the partially poured metal by the conventional small-sized ladle is omitted, the drop of the molten metal temp. on route is prevented. The installation of a high-frequency induction heater 8 to the bottom of the refining casting vessel 6 to prevent the drop of the molten metal temp. is an equally good practice.
