    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method and a joining apparatus which can join a junction member to a member to be joined with a slight press force with high reliability without detriment to working environment.SOLUTION: In the joining method, a member of lowering a melting point is placed between a stud 2 and a workpiece 3. The member of lowering the melting point is composed of a metal material capable of eutectic reaction with the metal material constructing the stud 2 and the workpiece 3. The stud 2 is rotated to generate friction heat while the stud 2 is pressed against the workpiece 3 via the material of lowering the melting point inserted therebetween. Taking advantage of eutectic reaction, the connection portions of the stud 2 and the workpiece 3 and the member of lowering the melting point are melted. Then, the rotation of the stud 2 is stopped and the stud 2 is joined to the workpiece 3. Thus, the junction member can be joined to the member to be joined with a slight press force with high reliability without detriment to working environment.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser-arc hybrid welding head capable of performing stable laser-arc hybrid welding by always keeping constant distances between a laser beam condensing head and an arc torch, between the laser beam condensing head and a weld base material, and between the arc torch and the weld base material, even when deformation, strain, or inclination of the weld base material relative to a welding line are generated and a plate thickness varies. SOLUTION: The laser-arc hybrid welding head includes: a roller support frame 5 being arranged substantially in parallel to a welding line direction and turnably supporting at least two copying rollers 4 or more, which roll on the plate surface of a weld base material W along the welding line direction; a movable frame 7 swingably supporting the roller support frame 5 along the welding line direction; a precisely linear guide 9 guidingly supporting the movable frame 7 in the vertical direction; and a spring 8 energizing the roller support frame 5 in the plate surface direction of the weld base material W with a predetermined load.
