    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion-proofing coating method which enables the formation of a coating film excellent in curing performance and corrosion-proofing property even under normal temperature drying condition as well as forced drying condition by using an aqueous epoxy resin zinc rich paint. SOLUTION: The corrosion-proofing coating method comprises the step of coating an aqueous epoxy resin zinc rich paint on the surface of a substrate and further overcoating an aqueous coating on the coating film of the epoxy resin zinc rich paint thus formed if necessary. The aqueous epoxy resin zinc rich paint is a two-liquid/one powder type aqueous epoxy resin zinc rich paint comprising a combination of (I) a primary component containing an epoxy resin emulsion, (II) a pigment component containing zinc powder and (III) an amine curing agent, and the above components and agent are mixed just before use for coating. The content of the zinc powder is in the range of 400-1,500 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of the total solid content of the epoxy resin emulsion and the amine curing agent (III) contained in the paint.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which permits the formation of a multilayered coating film using a specific coating composition excellent in impact resistance and dry-to-touch property as an undercoating. SOLUTION: The method comprises coating a surface to be coated with the undercoating (A) comprising, as essential ingredients, a modified epoxy resin (I), a curing agent (II) for the modified epoxy resin and an organic solvent (III), and subsequently with a topcoating (B). The modified epoxy resin (I) is at least one selected from a modified epoxy resin (d-1), obtained by reacting an epoxy resin (a) bearing at least two epoxy groups in one molecule with a dibasic acid (b) and a carboxy group-bearing acrylic resin (c-1), and a modified epoxy resin (d-2) obtained by polyadding the dibasic acid (b) to the epoxy resin (a) or by graft-polymerizing or graft-copolymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (c-2) onto the epoxy resin (a). The organic solvent (III) is one containing at least 80 wt% of a hydrocarbon solvent selected from an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent and a high-boiling aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. SOLUTION: The composition for imparting antifouling property (I) contains (A) an organosilicate compound expressed by general formula Si(OR) 4 (1) (R groups are each independently a 1-4C alkyl) and/or its partial hydrolyzed condensate of 100 pts.mass, (B) a water-soluble or water-dispersible compound of 5-150 pts.mass having a reactive functional group and a hydrophilic group in the molecule, (C) a mercaptotin compound of 10-40 pts.mass, and (D) a mercaptosilane compound of 4-15 pts.mass. The coating composition is produced by compounding the composition (I) for imparting antifouling property to a base resin (II) containing (a) a water-based resin and (b) a polycarboxylic acid salt.
