    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated immersion nozzle in which the breakage of a neck portion and the occurrence of crack thereon can be prevented.
      SOLUTION: The immersion nozzle for continuous casting (the integrated immersion nozzle) has a structure such that: an upper end surface formed with an introducing hole 1a for molten metal is a flat surface and the upper end portion is formed as an upper platy portion 1; beneath the upper platy portion 1, a tubular portion having an inner hole 2a as a molten metal flowing passage is formed integrally with the upper platy portion 1; the lower surface of the upper platy portion 1 and the upper portion of the tubular portion 2 are covered with metal cases 4; and the flat surface at the upper end of the upper portion platy portion 1 is pressurized to and in close contact with the flat surface at the lower end of other refractory set above the flat surface of the upper end of the upper portion platy portion 1, the immersion nozzle being held by a holding device while using, as a holding portion, a lower surface in contact with the two opposing side faces 1b and 1b of the upper platy portion 1 and being attached to/detached from, by slide motion, a device for controlling the flowing-rate of the molten metal. In the immersion nozzle for continuous casting, the metal case 4 at the upper portion of the tubular portion 2 and the metal case 4 at the lower surface of the upper portion platy portion 1 are jointed and ribs 8 for reinforcing are provided which extend outward from the tubular portion starting from the joint portion of both metal cases 4.
