摘要： PURPOSE:To repair existing long pipes by a method in which plural new pipes are penetrated into an existing pipeline from a vertical pit by means of an end- press jack until a given length of the pipes are penetrated, and the new pipes are further penetrated by means of a mid-press jack. CONSTITUTION:New pipes 17a and 17b are orderly inserted into a superannuated existing pipeline 11 by means of an end-press jack 15. When a limit strength to withstand the pressure of the pipe is reached, a mid-press oil-pressure jack 20 is interposed between the new pipes 17e and 18a, and the new pipes 17 and 18 are further penetrated by repeated operations of the jacks 15 and 20. When the top pipe 17a reaches the forward vertical pit 13, the jack 20 is removed out and the new pipe 18 is advanced to complete the construction work.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of measuring a gap between split end pars of a lock ring in order to confirm a fitted condition of the lock ring before and after the insertion into a receptacle of an insertion opening. CONSTITUTION:When the diameter of a lock ring 10 is enlarged, the inner diameter thereof becomes greater than that the outer diameter of an insertion opening projection 5, and when it is shrunk, the inner diameter thereof is smaller than the outer diameter of the insertion opening 4 so as to embrace the outer peripheral surface of the insertion opening 4. A receptacle recess part 6 having a bottom inner diameter which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the enlarged lock ring 10 so that the lock ring 10 can be received therein, is formed at the inner peripheral surface of a receptacle 2 which faces the lock ring 10. Further, an annular stepped part 7 for locking the lock ring 10 is formed at the inner peripheral surface of the receptacle which faces the lock ring, and a tapered part 8 is formed at the inner peripheral surface of the receptacle between the annular stepped part 7 and the receptacle recess 6. Lock members are formed at the inner peripheral surface of the annular stepped part 7 and the outer peripheral surface of the lock ring 10 so that they are locked together when the lock ring is locked to the annular stepped part 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain excellent water-tight action over a long period by forming a press ring, provided for pressing a seal material in a pipe axial direction, of a single split cylindrical unit having an extension/contraction free cut line, and forming a saw tooth-shaped meshing surface in the peripheral surface of the cylindrical unit. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical tube fitting of a cast iron pipe is constituted of a diameter spread socket 1, insert 2 of a joint pipe inserted into this socket 1, seal material 3 closely attached to both the socket 1 and the insert 2 and a press ring 4 for pressing this seal material 3 in a pipe axial direction through a thrust ring 5. Here, the press ring 4 is formed of a single split cylindrical unit, provided with a single cut line in the peripheral surface, and meshed with a meshing surface 11 formed in an internal surface of the socket 1. The meshing surface is formed by providing a saw tooth-shaped meshing surface 42 of alternately repeating vertical and tilt surfaces. By pressing this press ring 4 rightward by a hydraulic cylinder or the like, the press ring is displaced in the axial direction by riding across mountains of the meshing surfaces 11, 42, and after pressing in by a predetermined amount, the tube fitting is fixed by engaging the vertical surfaces of the meshing surfaces 11, 42.
