摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of by-product sulfate by two-step reaction comprising reacting acidic alkali sulfite with coarse calcium carbonate under a specified condition and then with fine calcium carbonate to co-deposit calcium sulfite and gypsum. CONSTITUTION:Sulfur dioxide-containing waste gas is introduced into an absorption tower 2. An aqueous solution containing alkali sulfite is supplied from a pipe 12 to the absorption tower 2 to absorb the sulfur dioxide. The resulting liquid is transferred to a first double decomposition tank 5 to form acidic alkali sulfite. To the acidic alkali sulfite is added calcium carbonate having an average particle size of 50 to 250 mesh at a pH of below 6.8 and at a ratio of 20 to 60% of calcium carbonate per an equivalent amount of acidic alkali sulfite from a supply line 6. Further, the reacting slurry is supplied to a second double decomposition tank 8. To the tank is added finer calcium carbonate in a ratio of the remaining amount of calcium carbonate per an equivalent amount of acidic alkali sulfite from a supply line 9, whereby calcium sulfite and gypsum are co-deposited and the accumulation of by-product alkali sulfate can be prevented.

Na2S2O4. Na2S2 O4.2H2O is crystallized by addition of sodium sulfite to the catholyte. To the soln. separated from the Na2S2O4.H2O is added sulfurous acid gas to form sodium hydrogensulfite, which is led to the cathodic chamber and is used for manufacturing Na2S2O4. This method allows to manufacture Na2S2O4 of high purity at about 95% current efficiency.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable to disperse minute gas bubbles into a liquid by a method wherein a liquid-gas mixture having a predetermined mixing ratio is passed through dispersing holes at a high velocity, in a gas dispersing tank, the interior of which is partitioned into an upper part and a lower part by a perforated dispersing plate. CONSTITUTION:The liquid and the gas are simultaneously fed into the lower part of the interior of the gas dispersing tank 1 on the lower side of the dispersing plate 2, with the volume ratio of the liquid and the gas being in the range of 0.01-3. The mixture of the liquid and the gas is passed through the dipersing holes of the plate 2 at a velocity of not lower than 30m/sec. Accordingly, when the mixed fluid passes through the dispersing holes, a turbulent flow condition is generated, in which the gas and the liquid collide with each other vigorously so that the gas is split into minute gas bubbles.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation of alkali sulfurous acid by a filtration in the atmosphere of CO2 to be produced from the na-neutralization in a method in which a liquid having SO2 absorbed is neutralized by CaCO3 and then, CaSO3 thus formed is filtered and discharged outside the system while a part of the filtrate is circulated for absorbing SO2. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas 1 containing SO2 is introduced into a absorption column 2 to be brought into contact with a absorption liquid and then discharged from the top of the column. When the slurry of CaCO3 undergoes a vacuum filtration with a vacuum pump covered by a cover 7, the ambient gas in the cover is filtered with a filter device adapted to suck gas only generated in the previous reaction tank 4 through a pipe 9.
