    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing sealing-up device capable of ensuring the sealing-up property for a long period even if a lip is worn by excessive tightening allowance. SOLUTION: A rolling bearing sealing-up device is provided on the shoulder part of the inner ring 1 with a peripheral stage part 6. A portion of an inner peripheral seal lip 12 extending radically along the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6 from the inner peripheral part of an annular seal body 11 fixed to an outer ring 2 is adapted to contact the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6. Then, the inner peripheral seal lip 12 of the annular seal body 11 is formed of a plurality of inside lips 13, 14 extending in the direction of the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6 and a plurality of outside lips 15, 16 extending in the opposite direction to the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6 from base parts of the respective inside lips 13, 14, while respective connecting parts 17, 18 between the inner peripheral part 11a of the annular seal body 11 and the inner peripheral lip 13 and between the respective inside lips 13, 14 are formed to extend axially and obliquely outward, and only the inside tip lip 13 of the respective inside lips always contacts the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6, while the other inside lip 14 is formed to contact the side 7 of the peripheral stage part 6 first after the inside to lip 13 is worn by a predetermined amount.

    • PURPOSE:To detect rotation with high accuracy by installing an inner ring to an outer ring with a nut via rolling members, providing an encoder portion on the nut side of the inner ring, covering the nut with a cover, and providing a rotation detector in a position opposite to the encoder portion in the cover. CONSTITUTION:Rolling bodies 7, 8 are installed between inner and outer rings 1, 2 through cages 9 and the fitting portion 4a of the inner ring member 4 of the inner ring 2 is fitted to an axle 3 and fixed with a nut 6. An annular pulser 10 is installed on the fitting portion 4a of the inner ring member 4. A cover case 11 is installed so as to cover the pulser 10 and the nut 6 and a rotation detector 12 is provided opposite to the pulser 10 between the inner periphery of the cover case 11 and the outer periphery of the nut 6. Due to this structure, the entrance of earth or muddy water can be prevented obtaining a wheel bearing unit which can detect the number of revolutions with high accuracy.

An inner peripheral part of the seal annular body, a section between inner lips, and each connection part between inner lips are formed in such a way that they extend outward and obliquely in the axial direction. Only tip inner lip among the inner lips always comes into contact with the side face of the peripheral step part, and the other inner lip comes into contact with the side face of the peripheral step part for the first time after predetermined amount of wear of the tip inner lip.
