    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a widening device and a widening method for existing tunnel that reduce costs by simplifying the device.SOLUTION: The widening device includes a cylindrical device body 13 which can be moved forward in an entrance 11 installed on an inner wall of an existing tunnel 10 in a radial direction of the tunnel; a plurality of propulsion jacks 14 which are installed in the existing tunnel so as to move the device body forward; cutter support cylinders 17A, 17B which penetrate a partition wall 16 partitioning off the interior of the device body in a front-rear direction through seal devices 18A, 18B, are pivoted in an oscillatory state on both right and left parts of the device body behind the partition wall on sides which are a little before cylinder-axial-directional intermediate parts thereof, and can extend and contract; swing jacks 19A, 19B fitted to the device body behind the partition wall so as to allow the cutter support cylinders to oscillate; drum cutters 22A, 22B which are fitted to tip parts of the cutter support cylinders which are positioned before the partition wall; and a discharge conveyor 26 which has a suction opening 26a penetrating the partition wall, and takes excavation earth in from the interior of the device body before the partition wall.

    • PURPOSE:To make it easy to control the attitude of a separate type segment assembling device at a curved portion by enabling the separate type segment assembling device to be moved in the vertical and horizontal directions. CONSTITUTION:A reaction support leg 14 is longitudinally movably provided to a support beam 12 disposed separately behind a shield excavator and a front fixed support leg 16 is installed in such a manner that the leg 16 can be tilted in the vertical direction via a horizontal shaft. A rear fixed support leg 18 is mounted to the beam 12 in such a manner that the leg 18 can be moved in its cross direction via a slide mechanism 28 and as universal joint 30. A pitching frame 32 for attitude control, a yawing frame 34, a holding mechanism 38 and a rotating mechanism 40 are provided at the front end of the beam 12. The legs 14, 16, 18 are expanded or contracted in conjunction with one another a new segment 11a is assembled while this device is moved and fixed. At a curved portion the beam 12 is oscillated in the vertical direction and moved in its cross direction so that the attitude of the device is controlled. Thereby excavation is made possible during assembly of the segment and also the attitude of the device can be freely controlled even at the curved portion.
