摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial piston motor for driving a cutter head and a shield excavator having the motor, in which the peak pressure of the radial piston motor is absorbed, the radial piston motor tending to generate the peak pressure generated in a drain chamber on the start of rotation, so that the occurrence of damage can be prevented, and a stabilized output torque can be obtained by keeping the hydraulic pressure balance on the flow-in-and-out-side constant. SOLUTION: The radial piston motor 17 for driving the cutter head supported on the front of a shield excavator 13 has a buffer means 18 for absorbing the peak pressure tending to be generated in the drain chamber on the start of rotation. The buffer means 18 includes an air damper, spring damper, and other various buffering means consisting of a combination of the two dampers, of which the extension, contraction, and elasticity are utilized, wherein the buffer means with a simple structure can be arranged directly in the drain chamber 6 or on the outside of it.

In this case, the rolling of the skin plate of a two-circle shield machine is corrected by a component force F1 to generate the rolling correction torque M1 of the above reaction F. On the other hand, by extending the rolling correcting jack 13, the shield jack 5 is tilted clockwase around the tilting center O of the holding means 6. As a result, a rolling correcting torque M2 is generated, so as to correct the rolling of the skin plate of the two-circle shield machine.
