摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled flux-cored welding wire with the stable product quality by packing flux formed grains with the specific average grain size of flux to make a flux rate in the longitudinal direction and the component segration low values. CONSTITUTION:Flux raw material powders are mixed and extruded from extruding dies with a desired mesh and dried. As to a grain size distribution of the dried flux, when the average grain size of the flux is denoted by (d), the flux with the grain size of 0.5d-1.5d amounts to more than 90% in the flux. The flux formed grains 1 are wound round a spool 3 via a flux hopper 2 and vibrated and packed in a pipe 4 mounted on a vibrating stand 5. The pipe 4 in which the packing is finished is drawn to a wire with the prescribed wire diameter and finished.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a sealing defect, component segregation, uneven flux rate, etc., by heating a flux to the Curie point or above in an inert gaseous atmosphere prior to sealing the butt part of a steel strip by welding. CONSTITUTION:A heater of an induction heating type having a through-hole through which a curved steel strip 7 can pass is disposed on the upstream side of a weld point P and the strip 7 into which a flux is loaded is passed through the heater 11, by which the ferromagnetic component and the steel strip are inductively heated. The ferromangetic component and steel strip are thus heated up to the Curie point or above so that the ferromagnetism is lost. The heating is accomplished in an inert gas. Even if the electric field occuring in an electrode roller acts on the flux-loaded and curved steel strip past the heater 11, the magnetization component, etc. are not magnetized and no bridge is formed. Component segregation and uneven flux rate are obviated as well.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a wire having high buckling strength, by conducting electricity to the wire and annealing the same for a prescribed time at a prescribed temp. thereby restoring the ductility of the flux cored wire which is hardened in a drawing stage and removing the impurities stuck on the surface efficiently. CONSTITUTION:A flux is packed in an austenitic stainless steel hoop, whereafter the hoop is drawn down to a product diameter. Such flux cored wires is passed through plural pieces of power feed rolls and electricity is conducted therein. The wire is then electrically annealed by holding the same for 0.05-2sec at 800-1,000 deg.C. The ductility of the wire hardened in the drawing stage is thus restored, the impurities stuck on the surface are removed and the wire having high buckling strength is obtained.
