    • PURPOSE:To extract samples from a shaft kiln such as a blast furnace by means of a compact apparatus with a small driving force, by taking a probe out of, or putting it into, the furnace body with repeated small advancement and retreat caused by changing operating fluid alternately. CONSTITUTION:In inserting a probe 33 placed outside a furnace body 30 into the furnace body 30, a solenoid valve 59 is first opened so as to short-circuit a changing means 55, and operating fluid is fed through an oil pump 52, solenoid valves 59, 54 to a cylinder 40, and a movable truck 34 is moved in the direction of an arrow a. Then with the solenoid valve 59 closed, the operating fluid is charged to a cylinder 40 by means of a motor 58, a changing means 55. The cylinder 40 extends gradually with continuous repeat of alternate expansion and contraction. Hence the truck 34 advances with repeated advancement and retreat, synchronizing the expansion and contractin of the cylinder 40. Consequently the probe 33 held on the truck 34 is inserted into the furnace body with its resistance against its insertion into furnace body remarkably decreased.

    • PURPOSE:To drastically improve blowing capacity of fine powdered coal by setting plural intermediate tanks between raw material hopper for fine powdered coal and pressurized feeding tank at the time of blowing the fine powdered coal together with hot blast from tuyere in a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:Inner part of the fine powdered coal hopper 4 is bidivided into 4a, 4b with partition plate P and the intermediate tanks 5, 5a are set to the outlets 20, 20b thereof through feeding valves 9, 9b, respectively and connected with the pressurized feeding tank 6 through a pressure equalizing piping 13, 14. The fine powdered coal is fed into the intermediate tank 5 from the raw material hopper 4 and further, fed into the pressurized feeding tank 6 with pressurized gas from a pressurized piping 11. In the same way, the fine powdered coal in the raw material hopper 4b is fed into the outer intermediate tank 5b and further, fed into the pressurized feeding tank 6 with the pressurized gas from a pressurized piping 12. The fine powdered coal in the pressurized feeding tank 6 is fed into a carrying pipe 7 for hot blast through a regulating valve 17 and blown in the blast furnace from the tuyere together with hot blast. By setting the plural intermediate tanks 5, the fine powdered coal can be alternately supplied into the pressurized feeding tank 6 and the blowing capacity of fine powdered coal is increased.
