摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the residual stress that is generated in a steel strip with side trimming by arranging in the order of a side trimmer and roller leveler from the upstream side. CONSTITUTION:The side trimmer 1 is arranged on the upstream side of the roller leveler 2. Bridle rolls 4 are arranged just before and just after the roller leveler 2 so that tensions in front of and at the rear of the roller leveler 2 are separated. Or, a tension leveler 3, side trimmer 1 and roller leveler 2 are arranged in this order from the upstream side. In the case where the tension of the side trimmer 1 and the tension on the inlet side of the roller leveler 2 may be equal, the side trimmer 1 may be arranged between the inlet bridle roll 4 and the roller leveler 2. In this way, the residual stress that is generated in the steel strip in side trimming is reduced without adding several steps the productivity in a finishing stage is improved and manufacturing cost of the steel strip is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To control L-camber, C-camber to arbitrary values and to improve the quality of a steel strip by providing auxiliary rolls which can adjust their positions respectively in the height direction just before or just after the front stand of two continuous stands and just after the rear stand. CONSTITUTION:When the outlet side pass angle theta1 of the front stand is changed, for example, it is enlarged, the winding angles to the work rolls of the steel strip S change, are large to the upper roll, and small to the lower roll. Consequently, the compressed residual stress on the rear side expands and an upward camber is expanded. An outlet side pass angle theta2 of the rear stand 4 is adjusted to enable adjusting both suitable L-camber and C-camber. In this way, the skin pass L-camber and C-camber can be controlled to arbitrary values irrespective of the roughnesses of the work rolls and the quality of the steel strip is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of cracks in the surface of a slab by a method in which an austenite stainless steel slab containing Mo and Nb is hot-rolled at a slow speed and then reheated during the rolling while regulating its reduction ratio per one pass. CONSTITUTION:An austenite stainless steel slab or the like containing any one or both of 1.0- 5.0% Mo and 0.5-2.0% Nb is soaked to 1,150-1,280 deg.C and then hot-rolled, where the hot rolling is performed by using a rolling mill of a low roll circumferential speed of 80m/min or less. Also, the rolling is conducted under the following initial period-low pressure and end period-high pressure; that is, with the reduction ratio of 5% or less per one pass for its overall draft of until 20% in the case of the thickness from the initial thickness before rolling to the finished thickness, the reduction ratio of 6% or less for 20-25%, the reduction ratio of 7% or less for 35-45%, the reduction ratio of 8% or less for 45-50%, the reduction ratio of 9% or less for 50-55%, the reduction ratio of 11% or less for 55-60%, and the reduction ratio of 15% for 60% or more. Also, when the rolling temperature becomes 900-1,050 deg.C during the period when the overall reduction ratio reaches 70%, the slab is reheated once or more to 1,150-1,280 deg.C to accelerate recrystallization.
