    • PURPOSE:To obtain a vacuum flange with an improved reliability to leak by providing in low parts on the outer diameter side and the inner diameter side of knife edge parts formed in flange joint surfaces respectively to be engaged with a circular gasket alone the outer diameter and the inner diameter. CONSTITUTION:An in low part 5a is provided on the outer diameter side of knife edge parts 3 formed in joint surfaces of a pair of steel metal flange parts 1, and an inlow part 5b is also provided on the inner diameter side, so a circular gasket 4 is engaged between the knife edge parts 3 along the outer diameter and the inner diameter to be inserted. In this constitution, deformation of the circular gasket 4 to occur when the steel metal flange parts 1 are tightened by a bolt 2 to let the knife edge part 5 bite the circular gasket 4 is limited by the in low parts 5a, 5b, and further large deformation us prevented. Creeping phenomenon, especially reduction of the tightening force of the bolt 2 corresponding to increase of the bite quantity of the knife edge parts 3 at the time of high temperature baking, can therefore be reduced to be small, and the sealability can be maintained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable vacuum vessel by discharging remaining gas in a connection part to the outside of the vessel via an exhaust path, thereby preventing a connecting liner from being broken due to the remaining gas, and detecting leak from the connection part of inner wall. SOLUTION: An exhaust groove 10 is formed between a main board 6 and a protection board 7 so that it is arranged along a connection part of an inner wall 1 of a vacuum vessel, and an exhaust pipe 12 is connected at its one end to an exhaust hole 11 penetrating the main board 6 while it is communicated with the groove 10. To the other end of the pipe 12 a leak detector 13, an exhaust pump 14, an analyzer 15 and a display 16 are connected. By the drive of a pump 14, remaining gas of connection part 8 is discharged to the outside of vacuum vessel from the groove 10 and the pipe 12. Accordingly, breakage of connection liner 9 caused by the remaining gas generated at the time of welding can be prevented, and the part of main board 6 and the liner 9 can be sealed in vacuum. Leak from the connection part 8 of the inner wall 1 can be detected by a detector 13. An analyzer 15 reserves and relays the result of detection of the detector 13 while a display displays thereon an output of the analyzer 15.
