    • PURPOSE:To improve a dielectric breakdown voltage of insulating oil without lowering characteristics required for the insulating oil by adding a specific additive to the insulating oil and specifying the additive content ratio of the electric insulating oil according to the kind of additives. CONSTITUTION:To an insulating oil is added at least one kind of an additive selected from a group of additives A to G as shown in the following. The additive A is represented by a formula I, and 0.01 to 10wt.% is added to the oil. The additive B is made of repressed oil, and 0.01 to 10wt.% is added. The additive C is made of the ester of hydroxy-fatty acid prepared by esterifying either of or both of a hydroxyl radical and an acid radical, and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive D is represented by a formula II, has a boiling point of 120 to 300 degrees Centigrade and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive E is made of DL-D-mentha-1.8-dien and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive F is made of diphenylcarbazide and 0.1 to 0.8wt.% is added. The additive G is made of D-hydroxyphenylacetamide and 0.01 to 0.1wt.% is added. In the formulas, (m) represents an integer of not more than 30 while (n) represents an integer.

    • PURPOSE:To qualitatively and quantitatively detect a very small amount of an org. reductive compound component with high sensitivity by using a solution prepared by adding a transparent water-soluble surfactant to a silver nitrate ammonia solution. CONSTITUTION:Ammonia is added to an aqueous silver nitrate solution until an once generated precipitate disappears to obtain a silver nitrate ammonia solution and an anionic transparent water-soluble surfactant is further added to said solution in an amount of about 1% to prepare an org. reductive compound detecting solution. Solutions containing a reductive compound, for example, acetaldehyde in amounts of about 2, 5 and 10ppm are preliminarily prepared to be added to the detecting solution by about 1.5ml to obtain sample solutions and the absorbancies of the sample solutions are measured at a wavelength of 360nm to form a calibration curve. When this detecting solution is used, precipitated silver is not bonded to the wall of a container and dispersed in the unreacted silver nitrate ammonia solution in a colloidal form and the transparent solution is changed to a yellow or yellowsh brown solution. On the basis of this discoloration or the degree thereof, an extremely small amount of an org. reductive component can be qualified and quantified.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a transformer main body from causing dielectric breakdown due to electrostatic discharging by branching an insulating oil passage and connecting a fluid electrostatic charging evaluation part tank and connecting a fine ammeter between a metallic pipe provided in the tank in an insulating state and the ground. CONSTITUTION:The cooler 8 of a cooling device B is connected to the transformer main body A by upper piping 7 and lower piping 9. Insulating oil is circulated in a cooling duct 4 in the main body A by those piping 7 and piping 9. Further, an insulating oil circulation path 21 formed by providing an intake and an outlet to the piping 9 is arranged, and the flow rate electrostatic charging evaluation part tank 19 is arranged in the circulation path 21. Further, the metallic pipe 17 which is insulated by an insulating tube 18 is provided in this tank 19, and the fine current measuring instrument 15 is connected between the pipe 17 and a ground line 14. Then, the quantity of fluid electrostatic charging of the insulating oil generated in the main body A is detected by the cooler 8 side to prevent dielectric breakdown due to the electrostatic discharging of the main body A.

    • PURPOSE:To easily obtain the sample to be used to diagnose the presence or not of abnormality inside a tank by a method wherein the gas on the oil surface in the tank of an oil-immersed machine is introduced to the prescribed outside position within easy reach by hand through a gas piping, and the gas is collected there. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of insulating oil 3 is taken by a thermometer through the intermediary of a temperature sensing part 14. Then, valves 7A and 7B are opened, a gas pump 9 is driven, gas is circulated in gas space 4, and the gas is replaced with the gas of a gas collecting hole 10. The gas in the gas collecting hole 10 is collected by means of a syringe with a lock, and the collected gas is passed through a gas chromatograph. As the gas component in the gas space 4 and the component of the gas in oil are balanced, the component and the quantity of the gas in oil can be estimated by analyzing the gas, and the presence of abnormality in a transformer can also be diagnosed.
