    • PURPOSE:To quantitatively analyze aldehydes with good accuracy by measuring the absorption luminous intensity of an aq. soln. suspended with the silver generated by the reaction of the aldehydes and an aq. silver nitrate ammonium soln. CONSTITUTION:An insulating oil 2 is put as a sample into a vessel 1 and an inert gas is introduced by a bubbling mechanism 10 into the insulating oil 2. The aq. silver nitrate ammonium soln. 4 is put into a glass vessel 3 and the gas extracted by bubbling from the insulating oil 2 and the inert gas are introduced by a bubbling mechanism 16 into the aq. soln. 4. The absorption luminous intensity of the aq. soln. 4 is measured by a light source 5 and a detector 6 shut off from stray light by a dark box 7 as a measuring system. The aq. silver nitrate ammonium soln. 4 of a low concn. is the absorption liquid of the aldehydes if the measurement is made in such a manner. The reduced silver is put into a stably suspended state under the stirring by the bubbling if the inert gas absorbing the aldehyde quantity is determined from the absorption luminous intensity of the absorption liquid.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a dielectric breakdown voltage of insulating oil without lowering characteristics required for the insulating oil by adding a specific additive to the insulating oil and specifying the additive content ratio of the electric insulating oil according to the kind of additives. CONSTITUTION:To an insulating oil is added at least one kind of an additive selected from a group of additives A to G as shown in the following. The additive A is represented by a formula I, and 0.01 to 10wt.% is added to the oil. The additive B is made of repressed oil, and 0.01 to 10wt.% is added. The additive C is made of the ester of hydroxy-fatty acid prepared by esterifying either of or both of a hydroxyl radical and an acid radical, and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive D is represented by a formula II, has a boiling point of 120 to 300 degrees Centigrade and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive E is made of DL-D-mentha-1.8-dien and 0.01 to 1wt.% is added. The additive F is made of diphenylcarbazide and 0.1 to 0.8wt.% is added. The additive G is made of D-hydroxyphenylacetamide and 0.01 to 0.1wt.% is added. In the formulas, (m) represents an integer of not more than 30 while (n) represents an integer.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the diagnosing accuracy of a method for diagnosing service light of oil-immersed electric equipment by which the remaining service life of oil- immersed electric equipment is diagnosed by finding the average polymerization degree of the insulating paper of the equipment and to obtain a method by which the abnormality of the electric equipment is diagnosed from the changing state of the deterioration product of the insulating paper in insulating oil. CONSTITUTION: The service life of the winding 1 of oil-immersed electric equipment is diagnosed by measuring the temperature of the winding 1 with an infrared thermometer 4 which can directly measure the temperature in a non-contacting state. In addition, the abnormality of the electric equipment is diagnosed from the changing state of furfural which is the deterioration product of the insulating paper of the equipment immersed in insulating oil by periodically measuring the furfural. Therefore, the service life of the winding 1 can be diagnosed with high accuracy, because the temperature of the winding 1 is directly measured with the thermometer 4 and the service life is diagnosed from the temperature. In addition, the abnormality of the electric equipment can be diagnosed by periodically measuring the furfural which is the deterioration product of the insulating paper immersed in the insulating oil.
