    • PURPOSE:To control well the accuracy of wheet thickness at the outlet side of a final rolling pass by inputting the correcting quantity of a target value of the ratio between the different speeds of final-pass work rolls, outputted from a sheet-thickness control system, and calculating the inlet-outlet-side tension target-value correcting quantities respectively. CONSTITUTION:The correcting quantity DELTAX3 of the target value of a ratio between different speeds, outputted from an automatic sheet-thickness control unit 23, is inputted to an inlet-outlet-side-tension target-value correcting-quantity arithmetic unit 24, and the inlet-side tension target-value correcting quantity and the outlet-side one are calculated so that the effects on the outlet-side sheet thickness of the 1st and 2nd passes are offset to each other. The inlet-side tension target-value correcting quantity calculated and outputted by the unit 24, is added to an inlet-side tension set value to obtain an inlet-side-tension control unit 20. Then, it is converted into a current target value by the unit 20, to change the inlet tension by controlling the rotating torque of an unwinding-reel driving motor 14 through a current control unit 16. In the same manner, the outlet-tension target-value correcting quantity is added to an outlet-tension set value, and the result is sent to an outlet-tension control unit 21 to change the outlet tension by controlling the rotating torque of a winding-reel driving motor 15.

    • PURPOSE:To control well the accuracy of sheet-thickness at the outlet side of a final rolling pass by inputting the correcting quantity of a rolling-down position target- value, outputted from a sheet-thickness control system, and calculating the correcting quantities of tension target-value at the inlet and outlet sides respsectively. CONSTITUTION:A correcting quantity DELTAS of rolling-dowon-position target-value, outputted from an automatic sheet-thickness control unit 23, is inputted to an inlet-outlet-side tension-target-value correcting-quantity arithmetic unit 24, and said correcting quantities are calculated so that the correcting quantity DELTAS offsets the effects on the outlet- side sheet-thicknesses of the 1st and 2nd passes to each other. The calculated correcting quantity is added to an inlet-side-tension target-value, and the result is sent to an inlet-side tension control unit 20 as a inlet-side-tension target-value. The tension target- value is converted into a current target-value by the unit 20 and is inputted to a current control unit 16, to change the inlet tension by controlling the rotating torque of an unwinding-reel driving motor 14. In the same manner, the outlet-tension target-value correcting quantity is added to a set tension-value and the result is sent to an outlet- tension control unit 21, and the outlet tension is changed by controlling a winding-reel driving motor 15.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of sheet thickness control by providing a supporting device and the 1st and 2nd load meters to a work roll chock participating in the final pass and calculating the load deviation between the final pass and the other passes. The rolling loads P1, P2 of the 1st pass and 2nd pass are controlled by a rolling down control device 7 and the load P3 of the final pass is controlled by a device 4. The load PS which the device 5 receives is detected by the load meter 6 and the roll gap of the final pass is detected by a sensor 3. The load fluctuation for controlling the sheet thickness h3 of the final pass does not lead to the load fluctuation of the 1st and 2nd passes. The fluctuation of the final thickness h3 is thus eliminated by controlling the difference between the load P3 and supporting load P3 of the final load.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate difficulty in control which arises when rolling load is the same by providing means for restraining the movement of work rolls contributing to formation in the final pass and the pass before said final pass. CONSTITUTION:Rolling load P1 (=P2) of the 1st pass and 2nd pass and rolling load P3 of the 3rd pass are detected by load cells 2, 3 and are stored in memories 4 and 5 when passage of a material 1 to be rolled ends. The rolling loads in this stage are designated respectively as P10, P30. An operational amplifier 9 calculates a fluctuating component DELTAP3 of the rolling load by using a fluctuating component DELTAP1 of the rolling load, the mill constant M set in the amplifier 9 and the rigidity constant MS of a restraining part S for roll chock. The calculated value DELTAP3 is now designated as DELTAP3cal. The output value DELTAP3 by an adder 7 is the actually measured value of the fluctuating component of the rolling load in the 3rd pass and the deviation DELTAP between said value DELTAP3 and the value DELTAP3cal is determined by an adder 8. A rolling down device 11 is controlled via a rolling down control device 10 so as to attain the deviation value DELTAP=0.

CONSTITUTION:The 1st rolling force exerting part 10 constituted of a rolling down control device 11, a supporting device 12 and a load meter 13 is provided to the chock WC3 participating in one pass before the final pass. The 2nd rolling force exerting part 20 constituted of a revolving roll 21, a load control device 22, a supporting device 23 and a load meter 24 is disposed to the work roll WR3. A sensor 7 which detects the roll gap of the final pass is further provided. The rolling load of the 1st pass and 2nd pass is detected by a load cell 4 and is controlled by a rolling down control device 2 to the specified load according to the above-mentioned method. The load fluctuation of the 1st pass and 2nd pass has therefore no interference on the final pass. The accuracy of the rolling control is thus improved.
