    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite segment which is small in steel usage, low in cost, thin in thickness, high in strength, and can have a wider width. SOLUTION: The synthetic segment 1 is formed like an arcuate slab by filling concrete 3 into a gap between a pair of steel skin plates 2a, 2b arranged on two surfaces on a natural ground side and the inner space side of a tunnel. The skin plates 2a, 2b are provided with arcuate joint plates (inter-ring joint plates) 4a, 4b, linear joint plates, and a plurality of dowels 6. The arcuate joint plates 4a or 4b have their base ends fixed along tunnel axial edges of the skin plate 2a or 2b and their tips extended toward the skin plate 2b or 2a opposed to the same. The linear joint plates have their base ends fixed along tunnel circumferential edges of the skin plate 2a or 2b and their tips extended toward the skin plate 2b or 2a opposed to the same.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite segment capable of reducing amount of use of a steel material, reducing cost, and reducing wall thickness and having high strength.
      SOLUTION: In this composite segment 1, a steel shell 2 is provided with a pair of first steel products provided on two sides which are curved substantially like circular arc and on which outer peripheral faces oppose and a pair of second steel products provided on two sides which are curved substantially like circular arc and on which inner peripheral faces oppose. Wood end faces 10a, 13a of the first and second steel products 10, 13 are exposed to the outside and seal channels 20, 20 are formed, respectively. A third steel product 15 and a fourth steel product 16 are connected with inner sides of the first and second steel products 10, 13, respectively, and are mutually connected by a lattice 18. Concrete 3 is placed in the inside of the steel shell 2 and a skin plate 23 is welded on an outer peripheral face.

Herein the first intermediate steel member 17 and the second intermediate steel member 18 are opposed to each other and connected to each other by a lattice (connection member) 19.
