摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety structure against the collision of chassis frame of vehicles that makes the deformation mode of the chassis frame to be longitudinal crimping state when external forces act such as at collision of vehicles and the like, reduces the deformation amounts, secures living space in a cab and improve absorption efficiency of impact energy. SOLUTION: A steering bracket 4 is installed at the front end of a side member 1 to cover it and has curved parts 7, 8 at the middle. A reinforcement 11 is installed in a space unit 10 inside at the vicinity of the curved parts 7, 8 to eliminate the buckling from the curved parts 7, 8 when external forces are applied. In this structure, the chassis frame is made to be longitudinal crimping state, deformation amounts in the longitudinal direction are decreased and the living space can be secured. Also, maximum drag and drags are increased and EA amounts can be increased. The reinforcement 11 is constructed to be a shape not to hinder the installation of a steering unit.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety structure against the collision of chassis frame of vehicles capable of decreasing the deformation at the vicinity of external force acting position on the chassis frame applied with the external force at the first cross member to be installed on the front end of a side member, increasing the drag of the chassis frame and reducing deformation amounts in the longitudinal direction, securing living space and improving absorption efficiency of impact energy. SOLUTION: A reinforcement member 1 is inserted and fixed in a space 10 of an end part to be connected to the side member 2 of a first cross member 5 which is installed on the front end of the side member 2 with almost U-shaped cross section. An impact absorbing member 9 is placed at a position almost to face with the reinforcement member 1 to protrude from the front surface of the first cross member 5. The end part of the first cross member 5 is reinforced by the reinforcement member 1, and the deformation around the part is prevented and also the depression of the impact absorbing member into the first cross member 5 is not caused. Accordingly, the increase of the drag of the chassis frame, the reduction of deformation amount, and the improvement of absorption efficiency of impact energy can be obtained.

SOLUTION: In this structure, a side member body 2' in cross section closed by a closing plate 3 is formed on the opening side of a side member 2. An inflection part 11 is formed in the vicinity of the coupling part of a second cross member 4 spanning between right and left side member bodies 2' and 2'. Reinforcements 1 are secured at the inflection part 11 and on the inner surface of a closing plate 3 on the rear side. The reinforcement 1 consists of a wave-form body 10 and an approximate U-shaped body 100 having sectional rigidity, uniformizes sectional rigidity as a whole, and eliminates a weak point. This constitution prevents the occurrence of local buckling deformation of the chassis frame, reduces a deformation amount in a longitudinal direction, and secures safety of a vehicle.

Accordingly, the falling-out or shear failure of the bolt 10 and the like can be prevented and the separation of the engine cross member structure 5 from the side member 2 can be prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a deformation resistance of the whole of a frame by increasing a buckling resistance of the chassis frame when an external force is exerted and to reduce a deformation amount of the chassis frame by converting a deformation mode from horizontal folding to vertical folding thereby to improve safety of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This chassis frame is formed in a box shape by comprising side members 1 and 1; steering brackets 4 and 4; a bumper cross members 3 arranged spanning between the steering brackets 4 and 4; and a first cross member 2 formed approximately U-shape in cross section spanning between the side members 1 and 1 and having a web 2c integrally spanning between an upper surface and an under surface. The web 2c of the first cross member 2 on the front side of the chassis frame is arranged pointing to the rear side. This constitution reduces buckling deformation of the first cross member 2 against a compression force exerted from the rear side toward the front side, and improves a deformation resistance of the whole of the chassis frame.
