摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure to more exactly set a limit value of burden to be transmitted to lower limb via a pedal tread and to reduce increase of a manufacturing cost of a pedal separating part in the structure to bisect a pedal to limit the increase of the burden in the case of operation of a large external force such as the case of collision between vehicles. SOLUTION: The pedal is constituted by fastening a first pedal arm 1 with a second pedal arm 2 by a revolving shaft pin 3 and a breaking shaft pin 4, operated by using a pedal rotational center 5 as a fulcrum and an operating force is generated in a pressurization pin linkage part 6. When a force on pedal exceeds a prescribed limit of the force on pedal, the breaking shaft pin 4 is broken mainly by a shearing force, the second pedal arm 2 is rotated around the revolving shaft pin 3 and no excessive force is applied to a lower limb part, etc., of a crew in the case of collision, etc.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the resistance face of a chassis frame when an external force acts thereon by providing, near the working hole of a channel shape closing plate for closing the opening side of a side member, a reinforcing member having a form reinforcing the closing plate and never disturbing a screw fixing work. SOLUTION: A substantially U-shaped sectional reinforcing member 1 is interposed in the space part 11 between working holes 7, 7. The reinforcing member 1 is preliminarily fixed to the inner surface of a closing plate 3, particularly, in contact to the upper and lower surfaces thereof. The reinforcing member 1 is constituted so as to have a proper rigidity, whereby the low-rigidity part of the space part 11 between the working holes 7, 7 can have a rigidity equal to or higher than the part of another side member body 2'. Accordingly, even if an external force is added, the transverse breakage induced on the basis of the space part 11 is never caused. Therefore, the drag of a chassis frame is enhanced, the deformation mode is changed to vertical breaking mode, the longitudinal deformation quantity is reduced, and the deformation of a cap is also reduced.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably enhance flexural rigidity of a vehicular chassis frame having a side member of a substantially U-shaped cross-section having a curved part, allow relatively easy and lightweighte formation, and to make a cross member connected without affecting an existing member attached to the side member. SOLUTION: A side member 10 having a curved part 11 in a vehicular lateral direction is reinforced by a closing plate 1 having a shape wherein a portion of a side column 2 of the side member 10 is formed into a shape laid along a center line of the longitudinal direction of a chassis frame 9. Flexural rigidity is remarkably enhanced thereby. A cross member 13 having a substantially U-shaped cross section is connected to a gusset 5 fixed on a surface of the side column 2 of the closing plate 1 by insertedly fixing both ends thereof. Therefore, the cross member 13 is easily attached without affecting an attachedly existing member such as a cab mounting bracket 16 of the side member 10.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety structure against the collision of chassis frame of vehicles of a simple structure with little increase in weight or cost capable of increasing a maximum drag of chassis frame and improve absorption efficiency of impact energy when external forces act such as at a collision to vehicles and the like. SOLUTION: A flange 40 is formed extending inward the edge of upper side 4a of a steering bracket 4 to be installed at the front end of a side member 1 to cover it. The upper side 4a is made to be longer than the lower side 4b and the difference in rigidity is given. The centroid of the cross section of the steering bracket 4 is made to coincide with indicated part of the side member to act an external force directly to the side member 1. As the result, a maximum drag can be increased and the deformation amounts by the change of a variation mode can be reduced, the absorption efficiency of impact energy can be improved to improve safety for vehicles.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant protective device which promotes the protection of an occupant by way of preventing a solid from interfering with the knees of the occupant in particular, in time of any action of external force due to a car crash or the like, and simultaneously is simply practicable, and besides, there is almost nothing of any influence on an increase in weight. SOLUTION: This occupant protective device 1 is installed in an airspace part lying between a reverse panel surface 5 of a meter cluster panel 32 and a rear end 28 of a brake master cylinder 27, and it is supported on the side of this panel surface 5. In time of external force acting, this occupant protective device 1 comes into contact with the rear end 28 of the solid brake master cylinder 27, but an interfering point with both knees 12 of an occupant is shifted outward to the contact part, and further, since a knee acceptor 2 of the occupant protective device 1 is tilted sarewhat aslant frontward, the knees 12 advance forward along this incline, and thereby the protective device 1 itself rotated counterclockwise. Accordingly, the knees 12 comes into a state of being owed out, separating from the side of the brake master cylinder 27, so any possible interference between the knees 12 and the brake master cylinder 27 is prevented, and thus protection of the occupant 34 is well promoted.

In this structure, the chassis frame is made to be longitudinal crimping state, deformation amounts in the longitudinal direction are decreased and the living space can be secured. Also, maximum drag and drags are increased and EA amounts can be increased. The reinforcement 11 is constructed to be a shape not to hinder the installation of a steering unit.

An impact absorbing member 9 is placed at a position almost to face with the reinforcement member 1 to protrude from the front surface of the first cross member 5. The end part of the first cross member 5 is reinforced by the reinforcement member 1, and the deformation around the part is prevented and also the depression of the impact absorbing member into the first cross member 5 is not caused. Accordingly, the increase of the drag of the chassis frame, the reduction of deformation amount, and the improvement of absorption efficiency of impact energy can be obtained.

A clutch master cylinder 25 goes back, and its rear end 26 hits on a contact part 24 of the hard protective member. The occupant protective device is held between the rear end 26 and the knee 39, whereby it is deformed, absorbing any impact energy as holding its impact force. Therefore, protection of the occupant 38 is securely promoted.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a deformation resistance of the whole of a frame by increasing a buckling resistance of the chassis frame when an external force is exerted and to reduce a deformation amount of the chassis frame by converting a deformation mode from horizontal folding to vertical folding thereby to improve safety of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This chassis frame is formed in a box shape by comprising side members 1 and 1; steering brackets 4 and 4; a bumper cross members 3 arranged spanning between the steering brackets 4 and 4; and a first cross member 2 formed approximately U-shape in cross section spanning between the side members 1 and 1 and having a web 2c integrally spanning between an upper surface and an under surface. The web 2c of the first cross member 2 on the front side of the chassis frame is arranged pointing to the rear side. This constitution reduces buckling deformation of the first cross member 2 against a compression force exerted from the rear side toward the front side, and improves a deformation resistance of the whole of the chassis frame.
