    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant protective device which promotes the protection of an occupant by way of preventing a solid from interfering with the knees of the occupant in particular, in time of any action of external force due to a car crash or the like, and simultaneously is simply practicable, and besides, there is almost nothing of any influence on an increase in weight. SOLUTION: This occupant protective device 1 is installed in an airspace part lying between a reverse panel surface 5 of a meter cluster panel 32 and a rear end 28 of a brake master cylinder 27, and it is supported on the side of this panel surface 5. In time of external force acting, this occupant protective device 1 comes into contact with the rear end 28 of the solid brake master cylinder 27, but an interfering point with both knees 12 of an occupant is shifted outward to the contact part, and further, since a knee acceptor 2 of the occupant protective device 1 is tilted sarewhat aslant frontward, the knees 12 advance forward along this incline, and thereby the protective device 1 itself rotated counterclockwise. Accordingly, the knees 12 comes into a state of being owed out, separating from the side of the brake master cylinder 27, so any possible interference between the knees 12 and the brake master cylinder 27 is prevented, and thus protection of the occupant 34 is well promoted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety structure against the collision of chassis frame of vehicles capable of decreasing the deformation at the vicinity of external force acting position on the chassis frame applied with the external force at the first cross member to be installed on the front end of a side member, increasing the drag of the chassis frame and reducing deformation amounts in the longitudinal direction, securing living space and improving absorption efficiency of impact energy. SOLUTION: A reinforcement member 1 is inserted and fixed in a space 10 of an end part to be connected to the side member 2 of a first cross member 5 which is installed on the front end of the side member 2 with almost U-shaped cross section. An impact absorbing member 9 is placed at a position almost to face with the reinforcement member 1 to protrude from the front surface of the first cross member 5. The end part of the first cross member 5 is reinforced by the reinforcement member 1, and the deformation around the part is prevented and also the depression of the impact absorbing member into the first cross member 5 is not caused. Accordingly, the increase of the drag of the chassis frame, the reduction of deformation amount, and the improvement of absorption efficiency of impact energy can be obtained.
