    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partially hydrophilic gas diffusion layer which enhances performance of a fuel cell stack, by forming a structure of a gas diffusion layer that can effectively remove water produced by the fuel cell stack in a simple process, and to provide the fuel cell stack including the same.SOLUTION: This partially hydrophilic gas diffusion layer has such a structure as to receive, in a gas diffusion layer, a stack fastening pressure from a separation plate having a land forming a gas channel, and as to include a first region which receives the stack fastening pressure at a lower part of the land of the separation plate and a second region at a lower part of the gas channel of the separation plate. The first region is hydrophilically treated and a pore of the first region is formed so as to have a pore size smaller than that of a pore of the second region by deformation due to the stack fastening pressure. The first region is composed to have the separation plate as a first electrode, has a second electrode provided at the opposite side of the first electrode through the first region, and is hydrophilically treated by connecting AC power and applying the AC power to water or water vapor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation plate for a fuel cell configured that supply of reactant gas to an electrode and droplet removal in a gas diffusion layer (GDL) is easily performed by forming a vortex flow generation structure on an inner surface of the separation plate and inducing a vortex flow of fluid flowing in a channel.SOLUTION: The separation plate for a fuel cell includes: a land that is joined with a gas diffusion layer of a fuel cell stack; and a channel that is formed on the land so as to come into contact with the gas diffusion layer and becomes a path of reactant gas (hydrogen, air). In the separation plate for a fuel cell, a vortex flow generation structure that can induce vortex flow of the reactant gas on the inner surface of the channel is formed.
