    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a hill-start of a vehicle with a manual transmission mounted thereon by utilizing a differential device.
      SOLUTION: A sleeve 31 to be spline-coupled with an outer circumference of an extension shaft 22 of a differential device D has first spline teeth 31b to be engaged with spline teeth 15a of a differential case 15, and second spline teeth 13c to be engaged with spline teeth 13a of a housing 13. When the position of the sleeve 31 is in a supporting condition of the start on slope shown in the figure, the spline teeth 31b, 31c, 15a and 13a are engaged with each other, and the extension shaft 22 and a right axle 26R are constrained in a non-rotational manner. Therefore, a vehicle can be stopped on a slope without actuating a parking brake, and can perform a smooth hill-start by freeing constraint of the extension shaft 22 and the right axle 26R by moving the sleeve 31 to the left by an actuator as the vehicle starts.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release mechanism of a clutch for a vehicle, automatically adjusting the play of a clutch pedal caused by elongation of an inner cable.
      SOLUTION: This release mechanism of the clutch for the vehicle includes: a ratchet pawl mounted on the tip of a release arm; two or more tapered projections fixed to the tip of the inner cable; and a stopper for stopping the rotation of the release arm in a predetermined position. A one-way ratchet mechanism is composed of the ratchet pawl and two or more tapered projections. The one-way ratchet mechanism allows the inner cable to be moved in the direction of increasing the projection length of the inner cable projected from an outer cable, and inhibits the same to be moved in the decreasing direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate generation of tooth knock noise of a transfer constructing a power transmission for a vehicle by absorbing a wheel side torque fluctuation component transmitted from a drive wheel side and an engine side torque fluctuation component a drive torque of an internal combustion engine through a gearbox. SOLUTION: The power transmission for a vehicle is provided with the transfer 7 having a driven gear 33 and an output shaft 41, a drive gear 18 transmitting drive torque of the internal combustion engine E transmitted through a final drive gear 16 of the gearbox 5 to the driven gear 33, and a transmission mechanism provided with a propeller shaft and a rear differential gear mechanism transmitting drive torque transmitted to the output shaft 41 to rear wheels. A damper mechanism D relatively rotatably connecting the driven gear 33 to an input shaft 32 has a rubber member 55 absorbing the wheel side torque fluctuation component from the rear wheel side and a spring 54 absorbing the engine side torque fluctuation component from the internal combustion engine E. A spring constant of the spring 54 is set to make a natural resonance frequency of the transfer 7 smaller than a frequency of the engine side torque fluctuation component at an idle rotation speed of the internal combustion engine E.
