    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal sound by minimizing the entry of foreign matter between a wheel hub of a rear wheel and a gear cover, in a motorcycle having a V-belt type continuously variable transmission stored in a transmission case, and the gear cover forming a gear chamber for storing a speed reduction gear mechanism interposed between the continuously variable transmission and the rear wheel between the transmission case and the gear cover and connected to a rear part of the transmission case from the rear wheel side.
      SOLUTION: The wheel hub 42 of the rear wheel has an inner tube portion 42a through which an axle 40 of the rear wheel is inserted and an outer tube portion 42b coaxially surrounding the inner cylinder portion 42a by forming an annular recessed part opened to the gear cover 29 side between the inner tube portion 42a and the outer tube portion 42b and is arranged to be close to the gear cover 29. A protector 83 covering an upper part of the gear cover 29 and mounted on at least either of the transmission case 26 or the gear cover 29 is integrally provided with an extended portion 83p extending to the wheel hub 42 side to be close to the outer tube portion 42b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master cylinder capable of exerting a desired braking force and making braking feeling favorable while suppressing an increase of an invalid stroke of an operation element.SOLUTION: A master piston 3 includes a first piston 3a fit with a cylinder hole 5 and a second piston 3b fit with a guide hole 7 provided on the first piston 3a. A stroke regulating means 5c for regulating the advance of the first piston 3a at a predetermined position is provided at a cylinder body 1, and an operation element 4 is connected to a second piston 3b, and the second piston 3b is connected to the first piston 3a via an elastic transmission member 16. A liquid pressure generation chamber 9 is boosted by the advance of the second piston 3b in the cylinder hole 5 together with the first piston 3a when the operation element 4 performs pressing operation, and after the advance of the first piston 3a has been regulated by a stroke regulating means 5c, the liquid pressure generation chamber 9 is boosted by the advance of the second piston 3b in the guide hole 7.
