A release lever 13 is turned in the circumferential direction of a clutch 12, and while the clutch-releasing cam is turned, the clutch 12 is released against a clutch spring. At the same time, a shifter 25 is operated through a rod 22 and a shift lever 24 by the rotation of a change arm 21 through a fulcrum shaft 3. Furthermore, the triangular cam 7 is turned, the lever 9 is restored, and the clutch 12 is connected.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent application of heavy load onto the transmission system under deceleration while to provide light change feeling by providing single board friction plates on the propulsion shaft and on the front end of input shaft at the transmission side. CONSTITUTION:A clutch 40 is provided through a coupling on the rear end of propulsion shaft to drive the rear wheel through the clutch 40 and the transmission 20. The tubular boss section 42 is journaled through a bearing 43 to the front end of the input shaft 22 of transmission 20 to couple the outercircumferential section of second pressure plate 51 to the rear section of a pin 49 provided on the boss section 42. The tubular boss 52 extending to the rear of the plate 51 is idly fitted over the input shaft 22 to form a space between said boss section 52, 42. The sleeve 54 of supporting plate 53 is spline fitted over the input shaft 22 in said space while a friction plate ring 55 is pin coupled with the plate 53 to produce a gap between the plate 55 and the pressure faces 41a, 51a thus to block power transmission.
