    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the subculture of ginseng callus, enabling the change in the properties of seed stocks to be suppressed to a minimum even if a long-term subculture is performed, enabling the activity of seed stocks to be maintained at high levels, as a result, capable of suppressing such problems as to decrease in the harvest of a ginseng callus-cultured product after subculture and/or decrease in the content of secondary metabolites such as saponins produced inside of the ginseng callus-cultured product. SOLUTION: The method for the subculture of ginseng callus comprises alternately repeating a liquid culture under conditions A and that under conditions B, wherein the conditions B are such that, as compared to the conditions A, the amount of a medium to be used is 110-200 vol.% of that in the conditions A and the concentration of an auxin in the liquid medium is 1/7 to 1/2 time that in the conditions A.     • PURPOSE:To easily obtain the title jelly without requiring much labor by making a liquid culture of Ganoderma lucidum mycelia in a medium containing, as the essential ingredients, maltose and corn steep liquor. CONSTITUTION:The objective jelly can be obtained by liquid culture of Ganoderma lucidum mycelia in the medium mentioned above. In this case, it is preferable that the maltose content and corn steep liquor content in the medium be 1-5w/v% and 0. 5-1. 5w/v%, respectively. Where appropriate, this medium may contain inorganic salts. grain germs, rice bran, nutritive ingredients like vitamins etc. For the incubation, in general, 300cc of a liquid medium is put into a Meyer flask with a capacity of 1l, and ca. 10-20mg of seed mycelia is incubated using a rotary shaking incubator at 25-30 deg.C for 3-12 days. After incubation, the resultant culture solution is in the form of highly viscous polysaccharide gel, which is then cooled at 5 deg.C for 3-5hr and solidified either directly or after its sterilization, thus obtaining the objective Ganoderma lucidum jelly.
