      SOLUTION: The drill boring machine is formed of a bed, the portal column rail secured to the bed, a table mounted on the bed in a horizontally movable manner, a slider plate mounted on the portal column rail in a manner movable in a direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the table, spindles mounted on the slider plate in a vertically movable manner, and drills secured to the respective spindles. The drill boring machine carries out boring of a workpiece mounted on the table, by the drills. Herein the drill boring machine has a control means arranged at a location close to an installation side of the slider plate of the portal column rail, for preventing deformation or vibration of the portal column rail, that occurs at the time of drill boring.
