    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problem that in sample-and-hold operation performed during recording for controlling laser power and stabilizing servo operation, margin of sample-and-hold timing becomes small at high speed operation, but this is caused by that a operation delay time of each part cannot be neglected and variation of sample-hold timing by temperature variation and other main cause cannot be neglected. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a sample-and-hold circuit of a detection signal of laser power and a servo signal, a monitoring means of the sample-and-hold circuit, a means varying sample-and-hold operation timing, and a means controlling sample-and-hold operation timing. In this control means, sample-and-hold timing is varied to a (+) direction or a (-) direction from estimation timing, referring to a monitoring result, optimum timing is obtained.
