    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an underframe of a railroad vehicle having an airtight structure.
      SOLUTION: The underframe 10 has a side beam 20 arranged at both end position of the width direction of a vehicle body along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The side beam 20 consists of an aluminum alloy-made extrusion having a hollow sectional shape. An end beam 30 is joined with an end of each side beam in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. A body bolster 40 is installed at the truck installation position of the underframe 10. A joist 70 and a joist 75 are installed on an upper face of a floor plate 60. The joist 70 and the joist 75 consists of an aluminum alloy-made extrusion having an inverted L-shaped sectional shape. The joist 70 is installed along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body over the substantially entire length of the underframe 10. A slit 77 is formed in the joist 70 in a longitudinal plate part of the inverted L-shaped sectional shape. The slit attenuates the vibration from the body bolster.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To serially detect surface wind at a travel location on the basis of ground coordinates in a railroad vehicle.SOLUTION: A first pressure detector S1 and a second pressure detector S2 are provided on a railroad vehicle for detecting a pressure in orientations different from each other relative to a direction of air flow flowing toward a surface thereof. A surface wind measurement system includes an elevation angle database 10 created by preliminarily obtaining through analysis and experiment a relation between an elevation angle being an angle of wind which the railroad vehicle undergoes by traveling wind and surface wind, and two pressure detection values. Also, the surface wind measurement system, during traveling, calculates the elevation angle of the wind, which the railroad vehicle undergoes by the traveling wind and the surface wind, on the basis of the respective pressure detection values obtained by pressure detection means. Elevation angle/wind velocity calculation means calculates a wind velocity of the wind, which the railroad vehicle undergoes by the traveling wind and the surface wind, on the basis of the calculated elevation angle and the detection value by one of the pressure detection means. A wind velocity and a wind direction of the surface wind at a travel location are calculated in a vehicle coordinate system on the basis of a travel velocity detected by a velocity sensor 20 and the travel location calculated by a location detector 30.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor structure of a railway vehicle body which realizes lightweight and low noise.
      SOLUTION: An air-tight floor 13 is disposed on a plurality of cross beams 12 of a vehicle body. A compartment floor 15 is mounted on the air-tight floor 13 through the medium of floor receivers 14A, 14B. The cross beams 12 hang an underfloor unit 31. The vibration of the underfloor unit 31 vibrates the cross beams 12, which causes the vibration of the compartment floor 15 through the medium of the air-tight floor 13 and floor receivers 14A, 14B. The floor receiver 14B is intermittently coupled to the cross beams 12 in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 10. A notch is provided between the lower end of the floor receiver 14B and the air-tight floor 13 so that the air-tight floor 13 is insulated from the floor receiver 14B. By so doing, the vibration of the underfloor unit 31 is prevented from being transmitted to the cross beams 12, floor receiver 14B and compartment floor. As a result, noise in the compartment can be reduced.

A leg member 7 is provided that is situated under the planar member 5 and the side members 6 to allow them to be supported by a vehicle body roof 1, and includes an elliptical-shaped wall surface in which a shape when projected on a horizontal surface encapsulates an insulator 8 of the current collector 2 internally. The lower surface of the planar member 5 corresponding to the outer side of the leg member 7 is formed as a curved surface connected smoothly to the lower surface of the leg member 7 and the side members 6.

The floors 71, 72, 73 run along a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Vibrations transmitted from a bogie portion below the bogie frame are insulated by the joist 61 installed between the floors, so as to reduce solid propagation noises. A floor member 72 with a small acoustic radiation efficiency is placed at the center of the vehicle body with comparatively large vibrations, so as to reduce the solid propagation noises. Because the floor material with a small acoustic radiation efficiency (namely, with a heavy weight) is used only at a portion with big solid propagation noises, the entire structure can be lightened.
