SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 has a photoreceptor belt 3 which is carried in order to form a toner image on the surface thereof, a driving means 4 which drives the photoreceptor belt, a developing means 15 for forming a toner image on the photoreceptor belt, and an intermediate transfer belt 2 which is disposed in contact with the photoreceptor belt, is driven by the photoreceptor belt, and on which the toner image on the photoreceptor belt is transferred. Carried paper is pressed against the surface of the intermediate transfer belt and thus the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt is transferred.

The called image block data is a compressed image data so as to be expanded by an expanding means 10, while timing with a printer 7. This image data is rotated by a rotation means 11. After the numbers of vertical and lateral pixels are conformed in the rotation means 11, the image date is stored temporarily in a memory 12. Because the image is rotated according to the signals from the image source such as the computer, the readout order the image data in the block is instructed and the image data is read out in a prescribed order so that the rotated image data can be provided.

SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted of an electrostatic charger 2, an image carrier for forming an electrostatic latent image by exposing the surface thereof charged by the charger 2, a developing device 7k attaching charged developer to the image carrier and a transfer device transferring the developer to a body to be transferred such as a paper on the image carrier. Besides, it is provided with the exhausters 19 and 20 exhausting air in the image forming device after the developing device 7k is stopped. Then, the exhausters 19 and 20 are driven or the outputs thereof are increased after the developing device 7k is stopped. Therefore, since the toner is hardly splashed and the partial deterioration of the photoreceptor is reduced because the air is exhausted after the developing device 7k is stopped, an excellent impressed picture with small density irregularity is obtained.

By setting a tilt angle equal to or under the angle of repose, the developer on the upper surface of the developing roll does not slide and fall from the developing roll, so that the developer is stably held on the developing roll and supplied to a developing area.
