    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve effective provision for broadcast information having high appeal to a number of unspecified viewers in an interactive broadcast viewing technique.
      SOLUTION: Information 21 about viewers who use interactive services and commodity information 22, including target viewer information of this commodity, guided by a data broadcast program are stored. Transfer data of program identification information 81 and viewer identification information 82 which are transmitted from a viewer side receiver 30 for each of a number of unspecified viewers are received in a central process unit 10 when using the interactive services. Statistical viewer information 90 about the viewers of the program is calculated on the basis of the information 21 and the transferred data. Optimal products are selected for a number of unspecified viewers on the basis of the information 22 and 90. After that, the selected optimal commodity information is provided to a number of unspecified viewers via a data broadcast system 60. Thus, broadcast information such as effective product information having high appeal to a number of unspecified viewers is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain testing presence or absence of conduction in a transmission path from a subscriber terminating circuit to an in-station device in a remote subscriber device without the insertion/drawing of an in-station connecting cable by mounting a simple transmission path conduction testing function in a signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit which is provided in the in-station device. SOLUTION: In the remote subscriber device 3, normal working by alarm information and mounting information from the subscriber terminating circuit 33 is collected in an alarm and mounting information transmitting part 34 and it is transmitted from an optical transmitting/receiving part 31 to the in-station device 2 as incoming mounting/alarm data. In the in-station device 2, the incoming mounting/alarm data is separated by the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 so as to be transmitted to a selecting part 23 as incoming information 26. The selecting part 23 selects the subscriber terminating circuit 33 by an external switch 25 and a measurement result is indicated in a display part 24 based on selected incoming information so that a transmission path conduction test from the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 to the subscriber terminating circuit 33 is made to be possible.
