As a result, an operation at the rear of the apparatus is not required when the external cables 9 are wired.

In the in-station device 2, the incoming mounting/alarm data is separated by the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 so as to be transmitted to a selecting part 23 as incoming information 26. The selecting part 23 selects the subscriber terminating circuit 33 by an external switch 25 and a measurement result is indicated in a display part 24 based on selected incoming information so that a transmission path conduction test from the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 to the subscriber terminating circuit 33 is made to be possible.
