    • PURPOSE: To improve the economicity of a subscriber system communication network and to perform quick service by housing an analog terminal and the other kinds of terminals in respective remote equipments. CONSTITUTION: In the remote equipments 300, the analog terminals 101 for transmitting and receiving analog sound signals are housed by a prescribed number unit and simultaneously, the optional number of the other kinds of the terminals 102 for transmitting and receiving the different kind of information are housed within a prescribed channel number for the respective kinds. A line setting means 401 connects respective transmission lines corresponding to the other kinds of the terminals 102 among respective multiplex transmission lines 500 and the respective subscriber housing terminals of the other kind of exchanges 202 for housing the other kinds of the terminals 102. A line setting specifying means 402 generates line setting information for specifying the combination of the transmission line and the subscriber housing terminal to be connected by the line setting means 401 and sets it in the line setting means 401. Thus, the cost effectiveness of not only a remote subscriber housing system but also the subscriber system communication network is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain testing presence or absence of conduction in a transmission path from a subscriber terminating circuit to an in-station device in a remote subscriber device without the insertion/drawing of an in-station connecting cable by mounting a simple transmission path conduction testing function in a signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit which is provided in the in-station device. SOLUTION: In the remote subscriber device 3, normal working by alarm information and mounting information from the subscriber terminating circuit 33 is collected in an alarm and mounting information transmitting part 34 and it is transmitted from an optical transmitting/receiving part 31 to the in-station device 2 as incoming mounting/alarm data. In the in-station device 2, the incoming mounting/alarm data is separated by the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 so as to be transmitted to a selecting part 23 as incoming information 26. The selecting part 23 selects the subscriber terminating circuit 33 by an external switch 25 and a measurement result is indicated in a display part 24 based on selected incoming information so that a transmission path conduction test from the signal multiplex separating and in-station terminating circuit 21 to the subscriber terminating circuit 33 is made to be possible.
